These results are REALLY exciting! Molnupiravir could halve the number of hospitalisations and deaths from mild/moderate Covid. But it's NOT a replacement for Covid vaccine! I've put some links for reputable sources in the description 😊

Do you think people will start taking these pills instead of getting vaccines?If they do how do you believe we should encourage them to not rely fully on these pills and to encourage them to get their vaccine?

@@monouch That's a fantastic question and a difficult one to answer! My analogy is this: Would you prefer to get run over by a car if you knew that a hospital was around the corner? (i.e. risk getting Covid because molnupiravir exists) Or would you rather look both ways and avoid the danger in the first place? (i.e. get the vaccination to prevent illness) Depending on how bad the accident, there's no guarantee that help will get there in time and that you'll be cured. You are much better off looking both ways / getting the vaccination. To me, this makes much more sense. However, it's an individual's choice what they do with their body. We can only hope to have open discussions and put out accurate information to allow people to make informed decisions!
