in state students in Florida do have affordable options to go to in state universities. While he might end up being a walk on the athletic side, he may be able to get some other scholarship or grants to pay for school until he earns an athlete scholarship.

If you're a Corman fan, you had better stop hating on CU and find a way to reach that young man. Other than about 30 to 45 seconds of on field play, there is nothing that he's done on film that worth what he's asking for. You cannot shoot crap at a team that would've make you great and then expect on-lookers to pay you for your potential. He devalued his own stock. He will have to take a step back. And his mother needs to be removed from the process. She lacks the maturity to help him rebound.

Cormani was held to a standard of a team captain which is completely unrealistic. Those of us who have an understanding of college sports have a level of understanding, compassion, grace for true freshman. I’ve never in my life saw a true freshman scrutinized this much like Cormani has, literally never.

NIL turned College Football into the NFL Free Agency and its only gonna get worse. High School Hype is gonna lead to big NIL deals that go bust, so schools are gonna look to IMG and Travel Ball to get their recruits. In the future just going to High School and playing ball won't be enough and in 5 years our kids will be competing with foreign players also.

NIL and the Portal is going to bring out everyone's character, resilience, discipline and commitment.

tbh i’d prefer him sign an agent instead of letting his mom speak and advise him as she hasn’t much helped him in any positive way

The issue that a lot of these young men run into is that they have never been held accountable by anybody in their life or poor behavior was excused because of their talent. We have seen countless young men like Cormani end up flaming out in college because they arent able to acclimate to the increased level of play. They have gotten by simply off of talent and havent had to commit to putting in the extra work to pair with that God given talent. With each level you advance to the talent also increases and the separation in pure ability is no longer what it was previously for the vast majority of guys. As we have seen it comes down to how much work you are willing to put in that goes along with that talent that truly separates you and allows for the jump to the NFL. It feels like Cormani was or is more concerned about the here and now, as opposed to working for the ultimate end result of the NFL.

A couple hundred of fresh high schoolers will be available in a few weeks and they will have just as much a chance as Cormani. (In the grand scheme.) He can get all the “agents” he wants. Any coach worth the check he receives from the school will say good day to Cormani and his mom and dial up Coach Prime and get his thoughts. If he actually had some decent film he could show… Also last season he was a bit scrawny, has he been in the weight room? A coach will look at that and see that he really isn’t serious.

I never heard Matt or anyone say anything about punishing anyone. The facts are simple. If he was such an “in demand” person schools would have snapped him up at the first opportunity to do so. He played like crap at Colorado last season. All the stars on a scouting sheet mean less now that he has D1 experience. Any coach is going to want his players to attend meetings and break film. Cormani doesn’t have a history of doing that. He and his agent can tell coaches anything, do you actually believe they won’t call Colorado? So we will see if a power conference team picks him up.

I’m guessing Florida Gators NIL department must have step up. They already saw Miami, FSU and even UCF department step up in recruiting.
