These short form versions of battle reports are fantastic. I love that yall interact with chat during live streams but 2 hour videos vs. 4 hour videos are much more digestible in a single sitting 👍🏻

Battle Sisters only give a dice if you roll a 4+ - the dice is whatever the face value you roll, but it has to at least be a 4 to get the dice.

This was a bloody battle. Gsc got hit hard, but always has a few tricks remaining. Might need to do a lot more rapid ingress tricks. Curious how different things look once the new points are released.

FYI, if you can pick a secret isn't based on your overall score, it's based on your primary score. So, you could be ahead because you're scoring good on secondaries but behind on primary and still be allowed to do a secret mission.

Usually I am not a fan of your Batreps in general. This one,however,was good. The match up was good as most Batreps I have watched involving these armies since the codex drop have been Sisters of Battle running away with it. Secondly,the shorter format is much better!

I think this battle reports really shows how useless the respawn unit army rule it compared to other factions rules. It looks good on paper but it rarely has any significant impact. And Adrian was super lucky when rolling the dice. In a typical game, you will only respawn ~2 units so, to be impactful stars would need to align.

It's worse than useless ... it's exceedingly swingy. It's so swingy in fact, which you mostly have no impact on, that a large part of how successful your games will go basically depend on a couple of dice roll. Then again, it's generally much weaker now as you mentioned, since you need to place markers extremely cautiously and due to the way units respawn you often have to wait more than 1 turn until the unit can actually do something (meanwhile having it's bum out there getting shot).

More short form battles!

Penitent is going to be the hot stuff early, since it's less reliant on knowing all the strats and everyone has a ton of repentia from 9th and arcos from 10th. But I think Army of Faith is going to be the hotstuff in the long run. Just going to take longer to get used to flying girls all over the table and managing when to use those auras and extra MD.

At 1:05.00, top of 3. did the acolytes have demo bombs? Those are the wound rerolls ones, the melee focused ones only grant the CP back. Didnt know if you shot them or not or decided to just charge instead of blowing them off the table and not charging!

58:09 i dont think the mortars can fire into the penitent engine because of blast and it is engaged?

Can someone please explain the fast dice rolling thing they do for multi-damage into FNPs? I can never wrap my head around it

Great question! Basically the fact that damage doesn't carry over causes some issues with fast dice. For single wound models, if they take multiple damage we know that they have to pass all of the FNPs to survive so we can just roll for each wound and reroll any successes since theyll have to make BOTH rolls. For multi-wound models, we can't roll more sets of FNPs than the model could take. For example, an aberrant with 3 wounds, we would take two of the failed saves at a time, adding in an extra dice (so four dice). They MIGHT save 2 of them meaning we have to put the next failed save into them as well (two more dice). The fact that they might die perfectly or survive with a wound to force 2 more damage through on them makes it necessary to do it this way for fast dice. I'm still not sure if I explained it well but I hope that helps!

Can you explain why you thought priestess could join repentia? How do you both feel the game would have turned out otherwise? Are gsc bad and sisters good in this case?

We got caught up with them both having the penitent keyword, I dont think it changes too much here

I've seen 3 sisters vs GSC bat reps on youtube and sisters have won every game. They seem quite strong across a variety of builds but GSC seem to struggle

@@TabletopTitans The shouting itself is OK but it's way too loud for the mics you have so it distorts and sounds grating. Otherwise good stuff!
