As a mom of 3 girls I really appreciated what you had to say about not raising girls to fill a particular role as adults. We also believe in raising our girls to be able to make responsible and godly choices on their own as adults and that God's sovereignty will be accomplished in their lives. 💓

Wonderful Q&A. One thing I wish my parents did differently, growing up in a strong Christian home, was the dating scene. They allowed it and even encouraged it. I really believe now, as a wife and a mom of nine, that saving the teen years for focus on practical life skills and growing emotionally, not dating, growing in the Lord, preparing your heart and life to "date", which in my opinion should be only towards marriage. It is so vital and one way that we can protect our kids. The Bible speaks of love not being "aroused or awakened, until it so desires". As believers we speak of saving intimacy with our spouse, however the intamacy of hearts is also so important, not to be given away as teens, who cannot marry, so dating would be just for "fun". Which most of the time is not.

This is such a great response!! I totally agree with you on this one! The point of dating is marriage. When they are teens just be friends and do things in groups.

Thank you for the last question. I was saved when I was 16, but I didn't understand what walking with God meant and the Christian life until after my mom passed away in 2021. I have recommitted my life at 40 years old. My children are older..16 and 13. I have apologized to them for not having an active church life for most of their growing up. God was always a part of our household and praying and understanding His blessings, but I didn't emphasize the importance of reading the scriptures and understand the word until recently myself. I have prayed that God would forgive me of that and that there is still time for both of my kids to see the change in me while they are living at home.

This was an awesome Q&A! There were quite a few different topics that I was curious to hear your answer about so I’m glad you made this! I recently found your channel and have been bingeing your content while doing chores because my husband and I feel strongly that homeschooling is the path God wants us to take. Our daughter is only about to turn two but getting the information before I start makes me feel much more prepared. Thank you for being willing to share your and your family’s life on the Internet for people like me to not feel alone❤🙏

I also agree with you on preparing our children for whatever road the Lord leads them on. However, I think it is a lost Biblical art in teaching our girls to be keepers of their homes. Before God it's the highest, most beautiful calling, before man, the lowest. Even if our girls do not marry, they are equipped, and love to make their home or the space, werever they may be in the world, beautiful and serving others proiority.

I 100% agree with you Ashlee on the mom/teacher relationship. The expectation is love and respect no matter what we are doing. That is actually something that I drilled into them since they were small children. No matter who you come in contact with in life you should treat all people with love and kindness, and as they got older I added respect into that mantra. It is about their personal character and not about the role of the person they are in contact with at that moment.

God totally provided but it was very stressful and beautiful at the same time. Lots of trusting in The Lord. Also help from the state is never free. Thanks so much for sharing Ashlee! I loved your answer to that last question. I was raised Catholic, but my whole adulthood until more recently was more…agnostic I guess you would say. For the past few years I’ve been on a journey to discover and learn everything I can about Christianity and faith and share that with my 12 y/o daughter. I’m struggling to figure out the best way to do that. We read books together and have done some Bible studies. But I’m not sure it’s “hitting home” yet. I’m open and honest with her that I’m learning right along with her. Any suggestions are very welcome! ❤️

I’m glad you mentioned the heart palpitations and not taking medication for it. I recently started dealing with them after the Ohio train derailment. I’m assuming a combination of the chemical exposure and anxiety surrounding that whole situation. I had an ekg which showed an irregular heartbeat and then had to wear a monitor for 48 hours. It showed normal sinus rhythm but tachycardia. Now I have a follow up appt next week and they want to talk about starting meds. I do not want to do meds…I’m going to tell them I am starting a magnesium supplement and limiting caffeine and I want to see if it improves now that we are away from Toxic Town. Please pray for me to be bold at my appt and not let them push me around. I obviously want to do what is best, but don’t want to deal with side effects of meds if I can manage without it.

Ugh lots of covid homeschoolers are really pushy about wanting money for homeschooling. I feel like they need to public school at home if they want that. I don’t want to jump through anyone’s hoops or be a slave to their schedule. 😅 Not sure if you’ve said what your husband does. Too late for my husband and I, but I’d definitely like my kids to know what jobs come with early retirement.

Hello I am the one that asked the question about aiming your daughters either to be career women or homemakers. Of course there’s only so much I could type in the Instagram chat box. I guess I should follow it up with are you at least guiding your daughters and questioning them on things to consider in choosing a career path? Do they want to get married? Do they want children? Do they have a desire to be home once they have children? These are all conversations I am sure you will want to have with your daughters before they leave the home. Also what is your take on Titus 2:3-5? I believe this passage to be literal. Not saying a woman can’t make money from home or something, but her priority is the home, and most women desire marriage and children. We need more godly, older women teaching us younger women to love our husbands and love our children and being a worker at home. I have witnessed personally the detriment of mothers leaving their homes in pursuit of career and it is not pretty! Both the marriage and the children’s souls suffer!

The same day our 3 month old died in the hospital, my husbands company fired him for not getting the you know what. They offered him his job back but we were done with them. Right after the funeral we left our community, sold our house and started traveling across the USA as he switched careers (something that travels). He makes more money than ever and we are about to buy a house for cash with the profit from the sale of our home. God has been faithful to sustain us. I do wish I hadn’t needed to leave every friend irl that I know while grieving and basically grieve all alone but God’s grace has been sufficient. He wanted me to rely solely on Him. It’s crazy how many had the same situation and ended up moving or nearly moving!

Please consider researching magnesium supplements for your heart palpitations. Mine started post C. And us women often get told anxiety is the root cause of many conditions and we know deep down it's not. It's likely physiological. It's tricky because a symptom of Magnesium deficiency can be anxiety symptoms. Mine completely resolved with the RIGHT magnesium supplement ( there are multiple types). I do not go out of my way to make suggestions on you tube, but I've been watching you for years and feel like I would not be a good "friend" if I didn't say something... Absolutely agree with you on the school choice laws. Taking government money means we have to follow government rules. The whole point of homeschooling is teaching our kids what we believe is correct. I fear government control and their dictating that we must teach LGBT or BLM or anything anti Christian. And so many are trying to push this in my state under the false pretense of school choice and homeschool families need tax breaks or funding too. Don’t fall for it!!

I am not a quick answer person either if anything probably more lengthy lol 😂 I agree on tax break or help because it’s not what it seems at all. Got to love Hobby Lobby! Sadly, That is very true about “Christian” Schools 😢 breaks my heart
