Great review I do own both versions and like Elixir also nice twist in a different direction than the original. Hands down both version are compliment-getters

I have the Bad Boy Gold Fantasy EDT version, I get so many compliments at work.....trust me. Al though it is not an office fragrance I like to wear it

I got a sample of this and I can concur. It smells nice, reminds me of the original with a thick vanilla layer to it. It even gives me some one million lucky vibes in there. I like Victory elixir way more. Like by a lot. And my lady friends chose victory elixir over this on test strips. They actually liked the original BB colbalt over the new one. So if you want that lightning bolt bottle and want compliments from the ladies go with the OG Cobalt, probably for that plum note.

I agree with you Ash. It smells just like some other stuff out there, but you know what? When I compare it to other similar frags like victory elixir I like cobalt elixir just a tiny bit more, so unless another company realeses something better that smells similar to this, I'm going to scoop it up as soon as the price drops a little bit;) Maybe I'm crazy, but that's the best smelling elixir to me😂

I was just about to say the next elixir will be Eros. But I agree we need an updated Versace signature. Even if it’s just an EDP.

Sampled this yesterday at Macys. It's a lot more "Blue" than the KZread reviews are making it out to be. I was expecting a blast of vanilla but I'm not getting that. It's coming across more fresh to me.

I smelled this and thought it was great. It did remind me a lot of Victory Elixir though with maybe a hint more spice.

I think that it is above many similar fragrances, personally. There's something about it I really liked. Second to Suavage Elixir which imo is still the best.

I have no problems with Elixirs as long as they are a high oil concentration, but an EDP isn't an Elixir that's just taking people for dummies

Elixir does not exist, even sauvage elixir is probrably parfum concentration, the next concentration after parfum is extrait de parfum

I just dont get why people hate on fragrance because of the bottle tbh I love unique bottle

I wanted to get the original Cobalt, but was holding off to hear about the new Elixir. Looks like I will be picking up the original and skip the Elixir. I don't need another vanilla heavy fragrance.

Funny thing is the OG is an EDP and so is the Elixer. I’ll have to try it at Macy’s but it sounds like a redundant money grab. I don’t think the OG sold very well.

More vanilla? Wow don't get too crazy CH. When I tried the original Cobalt the only thing I wrote in my notes was "Meh-balt." "Elixir" has become an excuse to tack $30 onto the pricetag of any flanker. The only one of these I really like is still Parfum.

what’s funny is that cobalt smells IDENTICAL to Invictus platinum and now that cobalt elixir smells like Invictus victory elixir is kind of sus from CR like they are trying to copy PR

This fragrance sounds redundant to me and I don't even have the original Cobalt because I heard it smells close to Invictus Platinum which I already have so I never ended up buying cobalt because there was no point if it smelled really close to Platinum then I just ended up keeping Platinum but this one sounds very redundant and I will not be picking it up just like it will not be picking up the original

Hey Ash , Christopher Lee fragrances channel roasted this one giving it a 0/10 he crazy 😂 it’s actually quite nice I like it a lot nice release much better than the original imo … Oh and he praised YSL L elixir being best in the line giving it monster performance etc etc 😂😂😂 bro I laughed it does smell nice and soapy but imo this cobalt elixir is a better value for the juice you get . Still sauvage elixir beats them all 😎 along with jPG elixir

But I also felt this way with YSL L'homme when the edp came out. Loved the edt, hopes the edp was a stronger deeper take on it, got something that smelled alright, but had little of what I loved from the older DNA

I hate the bottles it takes up so much real estate on a dresser/cabinet/countertop. Sure it’s garish, but it’s more about it being huge that bothers me the most and has turned me off from even considering it
