23:00 yes, if you make custom floats (bilge spaces), the water pumped out will make you float. I was confused when you said, "water pumped into them" before. I hope this build availes the community of manipulating any changes to pump pressures, as I trust you will combat and conquer.

More importantly, this will show the rules and goal more clearly.

maybe a little tip or a suggestion to tune pid's easier and (maybe) faster : (in the microcontroller) make the internal inputs for the advanced pid (in the microcontroller) also logic inputs on the microcontroller, so you can just hook up a keypad for each individual value so you don't have to go back into the workbench everytime you want to change a value. I do this myself in stormworks and thought I tell you since I saw this vid

The submarine now tips over instead of going in a vertical way

Nice experience NJ, but your horizontal fins were inverted, would work ok in your first try with tilt sensor. Cheers.

It was just a proof of concept, not the final build as mentioned in the video.

18:20 are you really don't think, that all the problem is inversion? i saw, when your's nose is going up, the system only raise nose more, so, the solution is "-x*4" at all. You even can use front and back surfaces

Or he could just add or move propellors to put the center of thrust at the center of mass and not have that problem at all

so putting the weight at the will make it top heavy and it will just tip over you should of put the batteries at the bottom

My biggest problem with this game is everything has changed recently and all the tutorial videos are to old. Can't seem to get a boat working with a modular engine, and all the videos I look at are before allot of the changes came in.

Me: yes! NJ is building a submarine!! *sees what kind of sub* me: Meh, when will he make a military submarine with torpedoes 😔

Wait.. we don't have to have a sealed cockpit?

Dude you can just build stuff, it doesn’t have to be a “series.” You cover a building game.
