The Maono to me, sounded less metallic than the Yeti and way more natural than the FiFine. The tone of your voice sounded warmer than the other two. Just my 2 cents. I just ordered the PM421 an hour ago. Great video by the way.

Update, i received my Au-PM421. I do 20 to 30 software demos via Zoom a week. It's a game changer for me, it boasted the sound quality and my sitting position at the same time. I love that mic and the customers do too.

I received my Maono PM422 about 2 weeks ago and am very happy with the sound quality. I was using a gaming headset with mic for about 9 months and always seemed to struggle with sound quality. I do wish they had 2 pads but never thought of using the pad you suggested so definitely going to get one. Another issue I had was my main computer desktop is very thick (I think 2") and the clamp would not fit, but luckily I had gotten a side desk and was able to clamp the mic stand to it. Otherwise I would have had to drill a hole to place the arm into...which would have worked as well. As for the differences between the 421 and 422? 422 has a Headset input directly under the gain mic and a metal mic mount that the mic screws down into. Other than a few more $ I am pretty sure it is the same. Great Review 👍

Hey just wanted to let you know that Maono has stopped selling the PM421 everywhere and is now selling the PM422, which from the looks of it the only difference is that there is a Headset port. They are now charging 82.99 for the PM422, and it seems like the other budget mics you've reviewed have also gone up in price. I wonder if it is due to Covid but oh well, bully me for trying to buy a mic now of all times.

Maono did sound nice. Blue yeti sounded more neutral. However, I'm surprised people put 100% volume gain in windows. I would rather use 65% for windows and increase the volume gain on the mic. My testing showed that produced better sound. Too bad the maono didn't have more volume at distance. Wish I could have heard that.

I personally like the fifine better I know I will get hate for this but I talk very quietly and I think the fifine will pick more of that up then the maono and at current time it is more expensive and the one I found cheaper than the fifine had their logo on it very big btw that's just my thoughts though it is different for everyone

I have this much, and I absolutely love this mic. I fell in love with it immediately

fifine has a new mic out called the K678, which also comes with a mute button. as of right now they don't offer a kit with that one but I'm assuming they'll eventually make one just like they did with the previous K669 (standard tripod) / T669 (full arm kit). the thing is that the prices are inflated atm, so it would cost quite a bit more... the new K678 is retailing for about 77$ (standard tripod) and was about 15$ less than that when it came out... so yeah. I'd probably wait for the prices to settle or some sales to come up...

Maono , excellent noice cancellation sound quality , i am using it for last one year for music recording. use all accessories with like popfilter and foam. You will be happy by its quality, but now a days they increase the price . i bought it for 3k , now it is 5k .

@@lakshverma7850 Fifine and Maono both are good for studio purpose. Fifine is bassy. Maono is natural sound. Noice rejection is better in Maono than Fifine. For musician Maono is best. For podcast Fifine.

@@sacoly1765 Maono Au-421 is an advance version of AU 04 and it is cheaper than AU421 only 43$. But if you want it for streaming on twitch then go for Fifine its bassy and loud. But if you are musician , want to record music , cover song etc..you should go for Maono AU 04 .

Please help me ! I’m stuck choosing between this Maono pm421 and the pm401, which one is better in terms of quality? And features? As long as I know the differences are only that the pm421 lacks the 3.5mm jack but has the gain knob and the pm 401 viceversa. Any other thoughts or recommendations? Thank you!

They sound pretty similar so it really just depends whether you want a gain knob or a headphone jack more.

The Fifine sounds a bit too harsh, while the Maono and Blue Yeti sounds more balanced and has a warmer sound which is pleasant.

The maono is closer, and crisp. yeti is just what you said, and i'd say kind of muted.

Iam dam sure that the fifine t 683 is one of the best in budget Its a better option as compared to the maono pm 421... As the comments stated, the newer version of the AU-A04 was updated to a Realtek chip that is worse than the older model of the AU-A04 chip. I would invest the extra money in the AU-PM421.

This style of mic is a condenser microphone which means it picks up sound from one direction. That is where the Name, Mic Mute and Gain control is at. There is a big difference in sound quality when talking into the top (Which is a different style of microphone than the PM series). I just did a test on my own and talking into the top makes one sound distant and the quality is not as good as talking into the front as these are built for.

Maono has boom arm, pop filter, and wind screen. You get more with the Maono and it sounds very similar.
