Got both the d8 and d9 for my tab s9. Far prefer the d8. It stays in the tablet tightly because you have to stretch it all the way and slip it on from the top or bottom. I trimmed some of the rubber grips off to make it a nicer fit. And it keeps your hands tight to the sides. The d9 makes it feel much wider and the tablet starts to slide down because there is little grip. The d8 feels as if it's part of the tablet in comparison. D9 went in to the spare stuff drawer.

Can really support apple devices especially with iOS 17.3?

I have the D8 but thumb feels cramped after awhile because the Thumbsticks for mobile on all these Devices are in a uncomfortable position but D9 looks like a regular Console Controller size so it might be more comfortable to play with over D8 so I will buy it and test it out

The d8 is a nintendo switch and xbox type control... so for the people how loves xbox controls the joystick will be good

The controller look so good but bluetooth .... After watch your videos 2nd time i saw the manual have wired connect to ios and android ! So it's quiet work with every thing

Can you please check if it works in wired mode connected to a PC? I mean if you connect it through a wire to USB port on PC will windows detect it or not without using Bluetooth on controller.

@@TenkaichiMeister Thank you for replying. I asked the same question on another D9 review video and was told that the D9 controller also does indeed work in wired mode. But in wired mode on android the triggers become digital instead of analog/linear and it does not work on COD Mobile in wired mode.

@@TenkaichiMeister I only shared the information that the other youtuber provided me against my question on his video. I do not own the D9 personally. If I had the D8 I would skip D9 and wait for the NSP line of controllers from the same manufacturer (expected in 2024). The NSP line is rumored to come with USB c port built in. So I would wait it out with my BSP D8 and then upgrade to the next proper USB C version. That's What I would do.

How good are the analog sticks? I got a pega and it was okay for stratergy games but horrible for aiming, and also after a few months of usage the right stick is rough now. Honestly for premium price you get a $10 cheap nasty chinese quality controller.

@CButler yeah in not rough at all. I mean my xbox s controller for 6 years ago is fine. I've never had a single issue ever with any analog stick for xbox controllers. But ipega are terrible. Just cheap and hard to aim. I bought both the d8 and d9 ill see how it goes 🤣 as long as it's better than ipega I'll be happy. D8 might not fit my galaxy tab 8 but we'll see on that too

Finally got the controller but now I can't get it to work properly om android. The X + home does notning, the app you mention doesn't see the controller, the mappings are all wrong right stick doesn't even work. I think it might be in playstation mode but no way to switch it. Do you know how to change modes or go back to pairing mode flashing blue instead of flashing red?

M1 and m2 buttons can be configured when using shooting v3plus mode which let's you setup up and map buttons manually on android

@@CButler ah great I actually got it working by connecting using either home + B (ios) or home + r1 (PC) on to my Android phone. Then the instructions worked on adding a macro using the pad itself. But I ended up using the Gamepad space app which worked but only if I connected it with one of those methods.

I noticed a delay between your finger stick movement and the response on the screen

Does this allow you to play games on your Android device, or is it just for things like Microsoft game pass and things like that? Like, could I attach this to my tablet and play Genshin Impact directly on my tablet?

I thought it would be a plug & play deal, but when I try that with Genshin, it only half-works, and the right analogue doesn't work. I have a Lenovo Legion Y700 (2023). I was wondering, if you have the D9 and use it etc, what app do you use to map the buttons/set up the controller? Or what other apps do you use to run the games through so they work with the D9? I've looked everywhere for tutorials on how to set up the D9, but cannot find anything. (I'm new to this whole controller scene and I don't know anything that I need to know, hah.)

Thank you for the video. May I ask a question, what is the minimum stretching distance? I do want to play with tablet in portrait mode for DS emulator. My tablet in portrait orientation is kind of narrow, just around 12cm wide, so it keep sliding out on my D8 controller. So i want to know if the D9 is tighter than D8 in minimum stretch.

@@CButler thank you for the quick response! Mine Lenovo Y700, very similar size with Ipad mini 6. I guessed I have to find an extra thick case for it or add some pads to inner grip part of the controller in order to hold the tablet in portrait orientation. The D8 is nice but the ergonomic isn't great, I definitely buy D9 with dualsense style is exactly what I'm looking for.

The inner part has rubber to keep the tablet in place so it doesn't slide around so a case is not needed

BT connects but you can’t customize the controller to work with games touch interface. Like PUBG. It will only work on games that support it, like CODM defaults settings but not customization using V3.
