Another great video, Raad! 👏 A little correction... Inflation is alive and well here! Since first landing here 3 years ago, many prices have risen exponentially. Gas, Groceries, and Utilities are all higher year over year for the past 3 years! You can take a couple of items like eggs for example, that had unique price increases and then reduction. But, groceries in total are much higher, and yes, require that "double check." In town we are looking at gas prices around $3.49. Utilities are out of control, especially with NBU. Many comments on local social media are that families are looking to move on that factor alone! Eating at local restaurants has doubled! (Naegelins is now only an expensive treat) Then let's talk H20.... incredible increases in demand leave a lot of questions about weathering the drought Years. No new pools, water lawn 1 out of 14 days (twice a month). 64,000 dollar question: where is water supply going to come from? I don't like to be negative, but as they say, "I don't make the news I just report it!" Still though, you make great videos and are an ambassador to New Braunfels!

While yes the prices have risen just like other areas across the state and country, we still are lower then what a lot of areas are paying and that would include what they are paying in San Antonio and Austin( where I have lived in the last 3 yrs). The unfortunate is we will see increases no matter where we are but it just isn't as high or bad as some areas. 🙂

Restaurants we do now every other week. Prices have shit up I’m guessing like everywhere else. I think part of that had to do with begging workers to come back to work during or after the pandemic and upping their wages which upped everything else. Im sitting across from a builder now who lives in vintage oaks and he says his NBU bills are not outrageous. Yet. One story home. I remember paying almost double right after the snow storm in 2021 then it came down eventually now it’s increasing. And I wonder if that’s the cost of being on your own grid vs. sharing power and costs to make it more affordable. Maybe it’s time to re visit that 🤷🏻‍♂️

When we moved to New Braunfels in the summer of 2006 I think there was something like 58,000 residence in NB, maybe it was 59,000 anyway a lot of growth in that area for sure!

My husband and I plan to move to New Braunfels in about a year once we reach our down-payment goal for a house. We are from California, however, we are conservative Christians and we are just looking for a place to raise a family. We always tell people that we are Californians but identify as Texans! I think it’s a good thing that a city is full of young families. That is a city that is alive and thriving! I don’t know why people would prefer to live in a dying, aging city! I am so excited to start my life in this city.

Could you enlighten me and other residents of the Ridgeway and Preston Estates Subdivisions if we will ever see restaurants being built off Klein Road since we have new schools that are up and a sports complex being planned. Thanking you in advance for your time and cooperation on the matter at hand

Growth is definitely east of 35. So, I'd imagine at some point the Klein road area will build up as well. Nothing concrete that I have, but you'll be the first to know. I see more of the growth for now shy of Klein on county line, that area, where I saw nothing several years ago
