( advice to you new comers) In a grand am, I got two audiopipe bd4 12s (the dual 2ohm model), strapped to two audiopipe apmi2000d amps at a 2ohm load (4000rms total at 2ohm). And my system is done right with extra batteries, 50 farads of lighting caps, and a 300 amp ces alternator. And my system is hitting deep as hell. The audiopipe bd4 is more comparable to a sundown x or sundown zv3. The bd4 sub is different than most subs in my opinion. Mainly better for lower frequencies. I favor the American bass xfl over the bd4 if you're looking for more punchy-ness or to be in spl meter setting. But if you're looking for lower frequencies, and the type of sound that shakes windows when you drive by, audiopipe is way underrated and priced for what it's good for. Even the audiopipe bd3 is good as hell also. The bd3 may give a better sound than the xfl, but the xfl is more for people who like to abuse subs more, or should I say more trust worthy for the less experienced user. But if you're more knowledgeable about car audio, and know more about proper tuning, the audiopipe bd3 will probably be one of the best subs on the market far as being good all away around. I'm talking far as sound quality, lows, efficiency on power, and price value. For example, the audiopipe bd3 12 can actually sound better on a lot of sounds than a xfl 12, and possibly produce the same volume if tuned right. But the xfl tinsel leads and stuff are just built better than the bd3. But if you don't over abuse the bd3, it will possibly sound better, and louder than a xfl. The bd4 is basically a step up on lows, with better built tinsel leads & a multi-spider system, but is more directed at frequencies under 40Hertz. It will play mid bass, but it's signature frequency is around 32-35 hertz for the 12 inch model. Point blank, if you're driving a mid size car, any of the woofers I listed above will do you justice and will be reliable if done right, in the right setting. I had them all, and they all can sound amazing. This is for you guys that are having any doubts.

What frequency the sub is handling also comes down to the box my bdc4s in the first box I had them in would only hit higher frequencies and wouldn't touch the lows my new box they handle everything I throw at them alot better then the American bass that's collecting dust now lol

They were close but I like the audiopipe waiting for the trunk sound off tho. That's were it counts most. I'm injoying the content as I wait to get my subs.. keep em coming. I have very good JBL headphones and others . I hear the Audiopipe providing greater output below about 40hz with deeper extension ... and the Skar has more balanced output above 45hz up to the usual low pass cut off points of about 80hz . Tough call . Pop / rock / most music ...go with Skar! Decaf fans Audiopipe ! Maybe my opinion means jack schitt and the Box plus KZread audio is just f---ing with me .

You should try to get some sdm gear from Steve mead plus a spl meter it would make allot better challenges on some higher cost subs like 300 to 400 dollar subs due to the larger subs like that can run I to problems with impedance rise or box rise and other issue that can make it hard to run correctly

I'm very surprised the SVR won all these cuz I feel the audiopipe is far more superior.

In my car with the equipment that you see there as my photo with my volume set at 40 on my Pioneer head unit, the skar audio SPL level peaked out at 107. The Audiopipe scored a 109 SPL but I also coughed during it LOL. So I'll have to try that again. Both of them are bangin´!

For a frame of reference I just coughed with no music playing at all and it scored 103 SPL by itself. That's with a phone app SPL meter.

@@MadDragon75 phone apps do not work for bass they pick up Ambient sound not bass. For reference my doors do a 115db and a 132db with 1 8" in a bandpass box . Tou have to have a real SPL meeter not an app

@@KnowName33 Yea. I know. Being that I don't have one like the majority of the population, I decided using something everybody can use would be a better option anyhow in this scenario. I wasn't testing the SPL in my vehicle, I was just trying to get an average anybody can test. For example I used coolsoft software. In all fairness, I believe the camera moved around too much to get an accurate reading anyhow. I would have to watch the video again to be 100% sure about that. That was a good point to bring up though thank you for that.

I get that you want it to be about our thoughts on the differences. But.. you were the one there testing it. So what do YOU think? Who won the best budget sub-200 sub? Audiopipe or skar? I know you said you like skar a lot and I do too. But my money would be on the audiopipe bdc4. But your money is on both and I want to hear YOUR opinion more in the videos as commentary! Should have been 4 vs 4 not 4 vs 2, atleast wire the 4 to a 2 in my opinion. Isn’t 4 ohm vs 2 ohm unfair?

Skar doesn't specifically state SPL, and AudioPipe doesn't either. But your enclosure and filtering is really what makes an SPL or SQ build despite what most would say.

I would love to see that but I wouldn't tell him to buy it with his own money because he already bought the 12". Go look at other videos of the 6.5 it's crazy and flexes hard for the price it's probably best 6.5 sub on market under 100$. Audiopipe > skar

@@manueltorres661 but I'd rather buy more bdc2 10" for the price. More cone area and better power handling doesn't hurt. But requires more box space. I've got 2 but want 4. I've also got 2 bdc2 12"s in qbomb box

Audio pipe for me

I think most of the people that picked the skar is just because they have experience with it and it had absolutely nothing to do with performance bevause most people are not familiar with the bdc4. That bdc4 will smoke that svr straight across the board on absolutely every test you put it through. Hell i have evl sitting on my shelf collecting dust because the bdc4 are louder and better sounding
