Thanks for the ideas. Had no idea that negasonic would be so fun and help with wins. Not always easy to play her but still fun how she locks down a lane. Glad I spent the tokens and got her today.

I've been having a lot of fun in a weird Surfer deck utilizing Magik and Crystal for draw but also Wong Wave and Odin. On turn 6 you can drop Wave then Surfer (or any 3 drop) then on turn 7 you drop Surfer (or another if you played Surfer on 6) then Odin to proc it even more. If you have Shaw in one lane and Brood in another you can pretty much win that lane solo. I'm going full in with the big numbers with Okoye, Nakia, as well as Gladiator but for consistence I feel the Storm lockdown with Goose could be a better way to secure things.

My deck is different but i kept Nakia and pitched Okoye. I run a Scarlet Witch to deal with locations, an Enchantress for ongoing shenanigans, and the just some stuff to pump and Daken, WBN, and Shaw. My IOS account which is a pretty low tier also runs with am Iron Lad , stoked for that spotlight cash later in teh month.

Gotta love that surfer just peeking in and out when mentioned 1:10

I buy the pass every month, just not always week 1. For right now, I'm just enjoying watching my opponent's Shaw go up and up and then dropping a T6 Shadow King. I can't believe more people aren't trying to put him behind Cosmo....

Man… I have to say I climbed from 73 to 93 in about 1 day using Phoenix Force. Deck is insanely powerful so far it’s kinda insane

I've been using hulk buster to boost shaw quite a bit. HB often gets boosted in hand/deck before he gets played too.

I feel like there are a lot of cards that could be swapped out for taskmaster who can copy a boosted shaw, and that would complete the deck

I'm using daken and shaw and luke cage. The first two take lanes alone with handbuff cards and surfer finishes it with a killmonger at the end

I got rid of negasonic for sera and if I sera on 5 I can surfer abs on turn 6 for huge brood and Shaw.

I did a rocks and shawks deck. Darkhawk, korg, rock slide, nakia, forget, Shaw, surfer, Sara, Elsa, iron heart, brood, and jeff. Been working pretty well might swap out ironheart as it's just not worth it sometimes

I play a sera surfer deck and use black panther. All the boosting works well with panther being another winning line.

Rogue has also been a fun include in surfer/patriot for me.

any good enough replacement for negasonic?

in my opinion sebastian is a really strong card especially with forge altho they need to fix that bug

What to replace Negasonic with?

All of a sudden I seem to always be missing a key card I need. People say Chavez wasn't fun and never actually played. But her purpose was to limit RNG, which made other cards more fun (by actually getting to play them). And even if you didn't pull the card you need, she was still a good backup to be able to play. Again people are saying you never wanted to play her, but plenty of times I just went with Chavez on 6 and she was enough to hold the win. And now she's none of that.

Game 2 Shaw did not get his extra boost after receiving the iron lad forge boost. What's up with that?

I'm having a lot of fun with Shaw. I'm at a +96 cubes / 61% win rate with my deck. Instead of Patriot & Negasonic I've got Nova & Killmonger. I like Killmonger bc he can help kill a lot of 1 cost cards my opponent plays like Quinjet or Misty. I also have Sera in instead of Iron Man. I like that it allows me to drop a lot more on that final turn.

What about taking out Iron Lad and Okoye and adding in Wong and Mystique, it adds an extra iron man or patriot, and another 3 cost card to be hit by surfer

How did you ironlad and hit forge then draw Shaw? Does Lad no longer hit top card?

I love how Surfer and Darkhawk have so many viable deck options.

Great content as always but what feels like all the cards released lately I feel he will be nerfed very quickly. Puts me off buying anything if they are going to nerf it in a few weeks /months anyway.

Can anything substitute silver surfer and iron lad? 😢

I've been running a build of this deck that subs out Negasonic for Sera and Okoye for Shadow King and it is seriously killer. Obviously Shadow King had some extra use cases recently with Muir Island as the featured location, and its a bit anti-synergistic with the power-up squad, but realistically Shaw can win a lane on his own usually and Shadow King helps you secure another that your opponent isnt expecting you to be able to subvert. Boy, I love Surfer 😊

patriot deck affecting 2 cards? patriot is 3 3 in avarage, is it worse it?

With the minimum power boost you get Shaw to 7 power which is already an amazing stat for 3 cost card compared to maximus

When every new card needs to have the same powerlevel as the launch day Loki, Elsa and Ms Marvel, thats when you know Second Dinner broke the game with power inflation for 3 months running. Seb Shaw is a very good card. He lets you build in a new way. It's sad that "Fair and Balanced" is no longer good enough for a season pass card.

nico came out after some of those and is one of the most balanced cards in the entire game. easily one of the best releases they have ever done

On a completely unrelated note the theme and variants for this season are high class af.

I love that now when you grab a deck from cozy or your favorite streamer and are missing a card or two, you can just have snap autofill it with an amazing suggestion

Lockdown Black Knight/Professor X is lowkey great.

It's a visual bug. It only displays the wrong number on the card. If you watch the power on the location it gives the correct number.

Shaw is great in my book I haven’t gotten many losses using my surfer sera deck yet. I think I’ll finally hit infinite

I can confirm that Aero is a banger once again. She isn't pre-nerf OP, but she is quite good at pulling away all those Iron Man and Wongs played the previous turn. Just have priority.

Cozy is like, "Play this deck if you don't wanna play the same deck as everyone else!" 5 minutes later, it's wall-to-wall Cozy decks.

Forge doesn’t seem to be working with Shaw for me. But I only get the +2 from Forge, don’t get the price from Shaw tho

nerfs aside, Stature/Blackbolt feels so good again :D

I think this deck is the rare spot where new America Chavez fits best, probably over Okoye. I also wonder if Nicos versatility is a better option over both, or in replacement of Nakia.

Okoye is better if you can play her on 2. After that, she loses value fast. Chavez is still random unless you have Howard.

Any one else notice that Forge + Shaw interaction is bugged? Shaw doesn't get the 2 extra power from the buff. I noticed it in my own games and now I see it in this video too. Kind of wack since it's one of the most obvious synergies and it just doesn't work lmao

He gets the power but it doesn't show on board, except for in the total power on the location. You have to click him to see his correct power.

After what they did to Elsa,my guess is Shaw will be first, +2 power IF he is in your hand,then +2 ONLY IF he is already in play. Seriously,after the first Elsa nerf i didn't see her at all most of the time,now they make sure nobody else will. But hey! Don't worry,now with the Luke Cage nerf if you haven't see enough High Evo decks,be ready. They released one of the worst,if not the worst card as tier 3,then comes out with this patch,butchered a lot of cards,which made some archetypes work. (LC against Evo and with Hazmat decks,Chavez for Discard) But don't worry,you are able to spend money on the game on specific card variants what you may never play,just to fill an album and receive mediocre rewards,also there is a cache key on Venomized villains to entice you to spend your cash on it.

the good thing about sebastian shaw is that his counter is shang chi or the destroy deck

Anytime you can add 3 or more power, it has been bad news for the meta. Fire star was a 3 base power so she could climb even higher if you played her after buffs like okoye, Nakia, forge, or Nico, then you’d probably try your best to flood on 5, then slam power on 6. That’s insane

Wait for the Selene and beta ray bill spotlight caches. If you don't wait, I would argue iron lad because I feel like he's less likely to get nerfed. However, if you really do want to play with the werewolf archetype, he is a stronger card, hands down

It is a visual bug he does get the extra power.

No Iron Man, this is the deck for Alioth. You'll often have initiative and Iron Man is just too easy to counter (Rogue is crazy popular in both Surfer and Loki decks)

Love him with WBN and surfer but we ALL know they are both going to get nerfed...soon.

why not add sera instead of fironman so lad can copy it (if lucky) and 3 3-cost cards can be played ( negasonic, shaw/partiot and silver surfer)in the final turn!!!

Nobody ask why Forge doesn't work with Shaw?
