Hello William. Thank you for watching the video and thank you for the comment. Yes, it's quite an interesting home being built in front of our eyes and knowing who ordered it. It's taking a while and the guard working at night told me it was going to take a long time to be finished. Let's wait and see. Before being hooked on this mansion, I was filming, documenting the one which is right above it, just a few homes from Mellencamp House. I loved this one. I felt bad when then razed it. It's on camera though. I will post it one day. It's being replaced by something even bigger and more flamboyant, I have been told. They just ran into some legal issues regarding the permit. Was clueless at first, so I looked it up. I'm into '60s modernist and brutalist architecture, like Le Corbusier and Niemeyer. East Berlin's Soviet-era buildings are stunning. Shame about Ballymun being demolished-I would've loved to see those. Found some cool '70s buildings in Hong Kong last year. Kinda ironic to think of Ballymun when stumbling upon Bono's mansion. Thanks for sharing!

Well, he did arrange for me to get 4 tickets to the RoseBowl, AngelsStadium and others for about $200 total...because if you join U2 club, you get advanced tickets. Why other musicians don't do this is a mystery to me...an affordable band for years and years. He's made his bizzilions with the financial deals with Apple and LV etc...he's kind of a financial genius too I guess. I think you can knock anyone that stands up to a cause and give the same kind of accusation; if you car about the environment so much, then why did you fly to Paris for the conference on Save The Earth and burn more fuel in that private jet than normal humans spend in a year? So, nobody should ever speak in my mythical Save The Earth conference I guess.

To the left of the triangle section of the home it looks like they are constructing a recording studio. You can see where they framed out the mixing board area and the play space.

I did not even pay attention to that part. I am in Japan now documenting some other stuff. I brought a bunch of SSD drives but not the LA ones. I have some new footage about Bono's home, shot in January. I get back home Sunday and will look for it. This video was shot in August 2023. But the space you mentioned does not look that big for any type of recording. But you sound like you know what you are talking about. So Hang on. 👃@@WaveGlydr

I went to Malibu last week and did a short video of the Mansion The Edge bought in April 2007. I will upload it this week. It's not about the new complex. As far as I know it did not get the approval, denied in 2019.

If I had that kind of money, I’d prefer a Spanish style house surrounded by trees and with a sea view.

@@G_Ellis606 Bono, turning 64 in May, has not singing a lot lately.Maybe his voice improved toward the end of December. he is supposed to come back for a few more concerts in March but that’s it. The Vegas performance announcement was somewhat accepted due to the Gimmicky Sphere marketing and the fact U2 did a concert and video in 1987. Bono, I think, is back to Dublin where he resides full time

Bono now living in LA ... hes now the second u2'er in So cal. The edge lives in malibu. Bono has homes all over the world. I think he sold his NYC home a little while back.

Hi. I started to document this place in April 2020. A friend of mine , Claudine, who lives nearby told me about new Bono's home being built. I went to the spot and met Pierre, a retired contractor, who lives 100 yards from the site. At that time he knew the contractor who was working on the house. We even walked up to the main building to see what was going on. I had no idea what it was going to look like 3 years later. Then in September 2023, when I was flying my drone around the property, a guy named Ben came to talk to me and asked me to stop flying above the home. I asked him who he was. He is one of the 3 guards working 24/7 to look after Bono's home. Finally 6 weeks ago (January 2024) I met in person Brian Murphy who is the closest body guard to Bono's. I will let you google his name. Now , why did he build a house in LA? It's related to the show he gave last year at the Sphere in Las Vegas. He has another set of shows in March by the way. It's supposedly a spec "speculation" house. Meaning the liklihood of BOno & fam permanaltly moving in may not happen.

Totally agreed. Bono lives mainly in Ireland. It was an excuse to have something close to Vegas during his few weeks show at the Sphere. The home costs around 50 $M. The land he purchased to build it was already 12 $M. it’s an investment for sure. The home might be sold in a few years. Wealthy people keep doing that in Los Angeles. Another mega mansion is being built just above Bono’s home. The cost is estimated at 80$M, maybe more. I have been documenting this one as well. A video will come someday. Appreciate your comment. I share your sentiment about B's Home's appearance. However, this home was primarily constructed with wood. I plan to showcase the completed home in the future, accompanied by footage from earlier times. Walking through it with a contractor friend of mine, we couldn't predict its transformation. Interestingly enough, Bono covered the expenses, ensuring it was taken care of even before the karaoke nights (thanks for your sense of humor). And rest assured, his contributions won't be needed for the financial aspect of it. Cheers! Share that video with other people. Let's start a dialogue. Thank you.

En ce qui concerne le nom de l'architecte, je n'ai pas d'information. Je suis sûr que Bono s'est investi dans le design, mais je m'interroge sur le thème et la symbolique de cet ouvrage, ainsi que sur la lenteur de la construction. C'est un peu comme un accouchement qui n'en finit pas. Je pense qu'il faut encore être patient, et le résultat final pourrait être intéressant. Tout est encore très brut. Je suis sûr que le projet sera loué et critiqué lors de sa finalisation. Je comprends votre dégoût concernant le design et l'aspect agressif du béton. Cela s'inscrit dans la vague nihiliste extrême que l'on retrouve chez les architectes des années 60. Je pense à Niemeyer et à la capitale fédérale du Brésil, Brasilia. Parlant de béton, c'est bien présent là-bas. As for the architect's name, I don't have that information. I'm sure Bono was involved in the design, but I wonder about the theme and symbolism of this structure, as well as the slow pace of construction. It's a bit like a never-ending birth process. I believe we still need to be patient, and the final result could be interesting. Everything is still very raw. I'm sure the project will receive both praise and criticism upon completion. I understand your disgust regarding the design and the aggressive concrete look. It belongs to the extreme nihilistic wave that we find among architects from the 1960s. I think of Niemeyer and the federal capital of Brazil, Brasilia. Speaking of concrete, it's quite prominent there. I also think of Kanye's house in Malibu, designed by Tadao Ando, which is a concrete block that leaves something to be desired and becomes even more ambiguous when the rapper decides to strip it down further, compromising the original design.
