If Bono and Ali wanted to have normal jobs for their kids they failed. Eve is a great actress and little brother Elijah is a great singer/musician in Inhaler (one of the best new bands around)

Lots of people have no idea that she’s one of Bono‘s daughters. So I guess she got all her acting roles on her own. Imagine that! Could the fact that she is very talented have anything to do with that? Lots of people don’t know that Bono‘s real surname is Henson either. He doesn’t use it professionally. I really wish that people would stop putting somebody down just because their parent is successful.

@@gavindoyle692 nah .. it's a faux American accent .. typical Americanisation of the Irish. No one in Foxrock or Dalkey had those accents until the late 90s. Sad you would rather act American rather than Irish. Says a lot about your confidence that you have to pretend to be something you're not.

@@scottblack9213 Eh, I grew up in northside Dublin long before the late ‘90s, and literally everyone spoke like her. Nothing to do with the USA. There is a middle class and a working class accent in Dublin. Both very distinct from each other. Irish and North American vowel sounds are very similar, which is why many people confuse the accents. But ask a North American to imitate an Irish accent and you will hear the difference instantaneously. Eve Hewson definitely has a brogue. Soft granted, but one wouldn’t mistake her for a Yank. Not everyone who is Irish has to pretend that they’re Brad Pitt in “Snatch”. I do agree with you though that her father hams up an American twang when he’s Stateside. No arguments there.

She’s been acting for a decade. Bit parts for the first few years. Then got cast in the Knick and killed it. Been on an upward trajectory since. In other words, she’s earned it. And will be a huge star I. The next 5 years. Flora and Son is going to launch her.

I agree. Call it begrudgery all you want, if she was an ordinary person, she wouldn't have the roles she has had without them. Not saying she isn't good though, but it's a kick in the teeth to people with talent that aren't benefiting from nepotism

Wrong. It will get a you a few auditions, sure. But you do not get cast in the big roles she’s had recently unless you have the goods. People are so clueless.
