Allen just watched your video and noticed when the electrician was talking about his test it looked like the gas meter had no bracket yet it had an anaconda feeding it to the ecv and lead off the out let did you remove the lead for fixed pipework as per regs ?

@@AllenHart999 Allen apologies its In bs6400 clause 8.2.7.2 so it's not a regulation its advisory so my apologies It says that a meter shall be supported so as to restrict movement and I was not being funny but an anaconda and a lead outlet dose not restrict movement just my opinion did not mean to offend I just remove the lead and repipe with rigid pipework if I come across a meter with no bracket Kind regards
Excellent presentation. Allen is a true professional and sets the standard to which all tradesmen/women should aspire.
Brilliant video Allen 🔥, superbly explained and very informative, especially your reasoning for installing the combi boiler. Looking forward to seeing the next video 🌟👊
Thank you for your inspirational video. Having completed 24 years military service at the age of 45. (Still fit and healthy, have another 60 years in me!) This is my resettlement training choice. Gas Safe registration once complete will be a fantastic achievement and I hope, will provide a foundation for entry level employment and a bright future in the civilian world. Where I can still contribute to society and hopefully supplement my military pension. Thank you once again!

That pipework is beautiful.
Hi Alan, been watching your videos for a while and did my research in getting a new combi boiler installed. We also had a gravity-fed system with tanks in the bedroom and loft. Now we have an Ideal Atlantic 30kw and it's great. No more waiting for hot water and most importantly wasting expensive gas.
Great video Alan. Doesn't matter how long your videos are. It's the information that matters. 👍👍

Great job Alan ,so many cowboys about these days . Did have a look at that air separator. Think it's curing a problem that does not exist on pressure systems ,If a pressure system that has been correctly installed and commissioned is giving up air constantly then it probably has a leak somewhere . I always thought it unnecessary for boilers to have auto air vents which are problematical as well .The Dutch boiler manufacturer Intergas just had a manual vent placed at the top of the boiler which worked fine .Have you come across them only 4 moving parts The water heats via a coil similar to the instantaneous multi point water heaters of old . I watched the video to the end also The best always cost s bit more but most of the time it's money well spent!

We always try to reduce the ammount of pipes that need to run on the outside of the house, ( cosmetic reasons along with practical ) especially the condense pipe due to possible freeze and boiler shut down, there is always somewhere to run it internally

Is there an advantage to using 22mm tee with end cap on the flow and return? I always use 22mm - 15mm drain off and connect to that. I guess advantage with the 22mm tee used in this video is that you can then use 22mm hose when flushing? Anyone got view on this finer point of installation in this vid. Great and informative video BTW. Cheers.

Hi Allen great vid very informative , one question i know it's practice to run the condensate pipe to the soil stack it makes me feel a bit uneasy because health and safety implications . One that soilpipe smells can go back into the house and two if the drains block up the condensate will just add to the problem and also soul waste may even back up the pipe in a worse case scenario.
