Yes older bmw’s sounded better but we live in 2023 and we all need to thank bmw for still making crazy fast pure petrol engines with crazy huge tuning potential and to be honest it doesnt sound bad at all plus you can always put aftermarket exhaust

Thats true, older sounded better and newer are performing better. But at least No downsizing so far

Sehe ich leider so nicht. Klingt total künstlich im Innenraum durch den Sound aus den Lautsprechern. Null Emotionen. Kein Wunder wird der aktuell 10.000 unter neupreis angeboten.

Daran hab ich auch als erstes gedacht. Die scheiß EU Regulationen und OPF seit August 2018 haben BMW so kastriert. Das hier ist wohl das beste was wir heute noch bekommen können leider.

M sound on gemacht ?

The sound is still really good. Compare it to the 4 cylinder AMG for example and you’ll notice the difference is massive. AMG 45 s for example sounds terrible for an AMG

früher haben die Chinesen alles mit dem Design verhunzt. Jetzt ist es BMW wo man nur noch mit dem Kopf schütteln kann. M2 Heck, 7er Front…!???

Diesen Sound habe ich bei der Probefahrt nicht vernommen. Und schon garnichts davon im Innenraum...trotz diversen Änderungen in der Einstellung.

Fand ich am Anfang auch. In echt kommt der Wagen aber schon interessant daher. Durchaus polarisierend, aber hat was. Besonders in rot.

@@UTVH21 Ein F40 ist auch polarisierend ;-) ... also der M2 sieht zumindest nicht langweilig aus und kommt richtig böse daher. Allerdings finde ich die neuen Innenräume mit dem Riesendisplay, irgendwie unpassend für das Auto.

​@@UTVH21 warum, ein wagen sollte sich ändern. Die Leute bei BMW dachten sich das sieht gut aus und haben das so designed ist dann vlt Geschmackssache aber der wagen hebt sich von der masse ab, viel mehr als der f87.

The G87 M2 always had the S58 engine. The original F87 M2 had the N55, followed by the S55 engine

Yet another stupid exhaust that sounds like it’s got a serious Flatulence problem? Why people actually think this is a good sound for a performance car I have no idea? Plus having seen the M2 with the new performance exhaust & fins -how to destroy your cars value in an instant - worst M car ever made.
