Nice interior especially at night. Would love to see how the 128ti compares with the 118i and the 135i xDrive. Great review and Zagreb is beautiful at night, would love to visit your city and Dubrovnik one day, when international borders are open, post COVID-19.

Best small hatch in the current market. Most affordable and pre-included tech options way better than other German competitors.

Great review. I learned to drive at night in the early 1980s, so always like to see how cars go in the dark. The 1 series seems very refined, I really like that. Well done, keep up the good work. Subscribed. I think this interior is much better than either the A Class or the Audi -- in the flesh, BMW interiors seem more solid.

@@crospotter13 Oh the M sport misano blue all I upgraded was the tech pack. Should of done the calipers but I'll do them at a later date

Thanks glad you liked it 😀 Speaking about this or A-Class - it delends on few factors. This one has better interior quality, but Mercedes haa got a nicer screens, more flashy interior and better infotainment. But materials are better in BMW. Exterior - for me BMW looks better from outside but that’s a personal choice, both cars look nice Driving - BMW is better for sporty drive, and I also prefer BMW’s automatic. So overall both cars are great, probably top competitors in this class, but because of the sporty drive & feel I would choose BMW

You can upgrade to a H and K surround sound think 16 speakers correct me if I'm wrong

I prefer this bmw's interior to the Mercedes's a class which is too bright and flashy at least, for me. Great car as well a the content, thump up👍 Are you planning to do a review of the Seat leon Cupra soon ?

Interesting thought, for me Mercedes interior is still better but would choose BMW as exterior design & driving are better here. Thank you for the comment glad you follow and like the content:) Speaking about Seat, I have the regular Seat Leon on test in 2 weeks time, many videos coming with that one - it’s mild hybrid with FR Line and DSG. Cupra isn’t available yet and I don’t think there will be a press car:/

@@crospotter13 Thanks for the reply, actually, I like the exterior, body work and shape of the BMW's 1 series and the interior of the new Audi A3. So, if I had to choose in between the BMW and Audi, I don't know yet. I haven't tried either so I might fall in love with the Audi as I prefer its interior and due to the fact that as the main driver, you spend most of time behind the wheel, you know what I mean. I'll wait for your review on the Seat leon though. I'm not in a hurry to get a new car, meanwhile, I'll stick to my Alfa Romeo!!! I know I know, it's not a german car !

@@fighterinthewind1400 well to be honest all the cars you are mentioning are great and it's more of a personal taste :) BMW has multilink and drives great, Audi also drives great and has better interior but you do pay a lot of things as extra (for example you need to get 150 HP car to get the multilink)- Seat Leon on the other hand in new generation is a great looking car and looking forward to driving it next week - could be great value for money and great overall package. Which Alfa do you have? :)

@@crospotter13 I own the 147 2.0 150 hp 2001 and drives good but nothing to do with car nowadays with all that technology on board. I'm old school and a bit lost with all these modern cars 🤔. If Alfa could make a more up to date car in the Giulietta model like those 2 germans BMW 1 series and Audi A3, I'll get it !!

Preferred the dual dials for the heating controls... and the old fonts.. does the writing and internal hi-lighting still go white during the daytime? (rather than stay orange all the time) thanks

Comparing it to the A-class the buttons and nozzles of the air vents in the Mercedes feels very cheap and spongy. The 1 seems to be better built IMO.

@@andreab1604 I have driven both and ordered the BMW as they both were on my shortlist. Especially I think the buttons for the AC in the Merc are horrible. They feel cheap and should have much more rigidity and this was one clear selling point. The feeling of quality. Here BMW meet the reputation they have. But you are entitled to your own opinion... as am I.

@@kingsix2000 A/C buttons on MB are piano keyboard style and they are neither cheap nor weak. I've been driving the A class premium for 6 months now, and it shows no flaws at all.

@@andreab1604 I did not experience that. The "piano" type keys as you describe them, do sit in a fairly weak plastic shell and I did not feel that it gave much confidence. But I am glad that you enjoy your car and that is the most important issue here👍

hello, as I am MINI Cooper driver, I find this one actually pretty good in terms of comfort, it is a bit harder than average in class, but no problems at all. Speaking about the tank - it is often the case that bigger tank needs to be ordered, I think it has to do with regulations, but for sure I would suggest adding the bigger tank of 50 liters

It has run flat tyres so if you chance them for normal ones it’ll be a lot smoother and softer

Hello and thanks for the comment :) Ok so for start it is ok in terms of comfort, but could be better with smaller wheels (these are the 19”, so 18” is the best choice I think). Also, it’s best to change the tires for non run flat ones. Secondly, for hightway it’s really good, you can watch my day POV video where I drive it on highway: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hWl9sbeGp5eyd9I.html 3-cylinder engines is great, I have it on my Mini Cooper which has 25.000 km and it’s a great engine, probably the best 3-cylinder engine out there. @@crospotter13 Hi.. Firstly great review. I am confused between a golf mk8 150ps and 1 series 118i M Sport. I really love the new 1 series. I have a family with a 4 yr old child. My concern is if the Sport suspension in 1 series is comfortable enough. Will fitting normal non runflat tires make it more comfortable.

@@MrRaj3018 hello, I would choose the BMW, best to have a test drive to see if it's too hard for you. But changing the tires to non runflar ones is my reccomendation as yes it will make it more comfortable for sure

Hello, thanks for the comment, glad you like it :) Personally I think BMW has better exterior and is better to drive. Golf 8 has more exciting interior (better digital cockpit with different views) but overall I would choose BMW 1 Series (also, 1 Series has multilink at the back with all versions, in Golf you need 150 HP or more to get multilink at the back)

pozdrav, na testu se ne sjećam, ali imam isti motor u svom Miniju 2019. godište i u dosadašnjih 50.000 km mi je prosjek oko 8 litara i to solidne vožnje, pretpostavljam da je slična stvar i ovdje, recimo realnih 8,5 s obzirom da je nešto veći auto

@@mbw3180 nema na čemu :) odličan je auto, da nisam uzeo Mini ovo bi definitivno bio odabir. Što se tiče tanka da to je problem jer zbog homologacije imaju taj manji, ali iskreno mislim da gotovo svi imaju tu nadoplatu za veći, ali svakako prije kupnje najbolje upit poslati autokući

About 08:10 - it DOESN'T show which gear you are in? Just "D"? Really? I would like to know. Wolksvagen has often "D4" and such. Does it depend on the mode, perhaps?

I think that style inside looks better than mercedes...just simple. Not to shiny...

If i won lottery. Im 10000percent buy this bmw. As in the one like this in the video

some countries yes but not all countries offer same entry option. Usually if you want to add full options (include M-sports pck), you need to pay extra $10,000 from basic model of 118i. For example, in Australia BMW offers M-sports packages as standard but if you want to have full options extra money will cost you A$11,500.

Hi Ty, I have the same car and the ambient lights are very bright. On the film, you can barely see the steering wheel controls lit; but they’re also very bright.

Never understood why you'd get a low performing BMW

Hideous front, looks like a shark ready to devour someone! How do I regret my 1998 BMW M3 E 36.

Can you imagine the amount of car crashes of people concentrating too much on that led display screen like air plane say that drive like a dicks anyway these days tunnel vison

People love the night POV drives, the whole thing, the drive and detailed info. Views also say that. Of course it’s your choice to watch just a segment but overall people love the detailed look and long drive. Cheers

The navigation screen should've been larger. I prefer the interior of MB A-class more than this... But the actual car itself looks better than MB A-class
