I was the first to get a Pan America in my state. Great bike.....with lots of problems. Sold it and bought a KLR. It's simplicity hasn't left me stranded like the high dollar Pan AM

I have a 2019 Harley, 2023 Bmw 1250 gsa and just bought a 2024 Klr adventure. You always have room in the garage for a Klr. So much fun.

Nice! I bought my 23 Adventure model last year and love it, it’s my second KLR in 15 yrs and I’ve had many bikes but no other can just keep that smile on my face like a KLR.

I've had a '23 KLR for just over a year and I absolutely love it! Thats cool that you named your bike, my KLR is grey and I named it Jenny (female Donkey). When I ride her to Oatman Arizona sometime soon, all of the wild Donkey's in town may gather around her.

Just went from the 22 PAS to the 24 klr650 adventure abs! Loven it!

I love my 2012 650 vstrom, and I had big ADV plans for it...until i rode with a guy on his 2023 KLR up Cacapon mountain. He literally left me in his dust, gliding over potholes and rocks while i was jarred and pounded by those same rocks and potholes. I wanted a KLR, but settled for a 300L ABS. The vstrom is my forever bike for good reasons. On the 300 he can lose me on the street now but not off road. The KLR is awesome. I already have 4 bikes, and not enough room for them.

I have a 2023 KLR 650 S. Ran something over and caught the oil drain plug cracking the engine case $3000 later she is fixed. I love her still great ride.

I bought my used (450miles) KLR 650 Adventure two weeks ago. Gonna take my time doing most my mods. Did replace the oil drain plug with the oil change, and I had to put a crash bar on it before something happens. I went with the "Happy Trails" upper crash bar. Feels solid and hopefully will protect the auxiliary lights in most scenarios. Congrates on your new KLR! I'll be following along as you do your upgrades 🤙

I’ll be interested in the conversion, the klr is a love it/hate it bike … if you love it (after 6months), you’ll not stop riding it . I bought a 2017 klr to temporarily replace my R1200GS, and while getting the GS fixed, I fell in love with the klr, so the BMW went out the door!!

Nice. When my pan am self deleted I picked up the r1250gsa then immediately bought a 23 CB500x lol. I just sold that CB500x. I was going to go balls to the walls and make it my trans American workhorse but decided I’d just get a 690 or 701 when the time comes.

My Pan am did the same. After Harley bought it back from me I bought a used 2018 KTM 1290 SA-R that they had on the floor but it was humongous. I traded it for an 890 Adventure. Love the bike. I still have a 2018 KLR in the garage that I might sell this year but they are so cheap to keep around I may end up keeping it.

I’m at 17k on the Harley it has had a few issues. I love the pan I just feel like it’s gonna break every time I go out on it. Not the best feeling lol.

@@3_AM I put about 12 K on the Pan Am in a year and a half but it should have been a few thousand more. The bike had electrical gremlins that they couldn’t sort out. I told them that wasn’t a good recipe for an adventure bike that I was riding in the middle of nowhere. I was literally looking for gas stops close to Harley dealerships for when it wouldn’t run. I’d ride, stop for gas and the bike wouldn’t run again. I had the special without the ARH suspension but sometimes it would lower and raise, sometimes it would just lower and stay in the low position. But, they bought it back from me at a good price so I can’t complain about their customer service.

I found your channel. Love my Pan America and yes it has had some issues. Can't wait to see your future reviews of the KLR. My concern of the KLR is the power drop from the Pan. Enjoy and looking forward to the updates

Thanks for watching! Yes deff a power difference, but the Klr is so much better better on gravel feels a lot lighter.

I have the 2018 model I bought new a few yrs ago. Since the bike has been awesome! I put all the cool stuff on it. I haven't done the doohickey or thermobob and new had any issues. The bike can it down in the backwoods for sure. I always loked the look of the pan America but to many problems. The klr650 can do alot of stuff, just think of as a sport bike cause its not. I love my klr650

I have a 2022 Pan America and a 2016 KLR.. love both.. the KLR just turned over 15k miles.. this winter I changed chain and sprocket and did the doohickey.. the factory doohickey was still working.. but now I hope to get another 15k off it now

That's the proper color for a KLR! I have a yellow & black gen 2 that I said would be my last KLR but it's tempting to get a Gen 3 in green.

I picked up a DRz400 last Dec and set it up for light ADV, but I've been using it mostly on enduro trails and single track. Now that were getting into riding season I'll be stretching its legs a little more. Hit me up if you want to do some ADV stuff...
