add more about the ride. take a curb with the fat tire. try showing it outside the shop. nothing here gives me a reason to look at it. might as well take a picture and list the specs.

Very intrigued although I'll have to look the price up on the website Looks like it goes for 1799 but definitely going to shop around. Although fat tires aren't really my thing, I'm interested in with a company does overall because it looks like they really make quality components of priority and don't cheap out on the little things.

I purchased a Big Sur 26" Ebike in Matte Black finish and after almost 200 miles, while I enjoy it, I expected much more out of the torque sensor and LCD display. I found those short little test rides at bike shops may not truly reflect the performance of the bike. My 1st long ride was right after I purchased the bike as I did not have my QuikrStuff bike rack yet or another rack suitable to transport the weight of this bike so I rode it around 19 miles home. As I watched the battery level decrease during my ride of mostly flat Houston metro landscape and adjusting my assist levels down, I had to be careful with my pedal rotation speed and really watched the display when I got down to 10% to monitor the Watts used. Another trip along Buffalo Bayou through Terry Hershey Park and Addicks Dam area, I managed around 40 miles and used 70% of the battery but to do this I kept it in level assist 1 and pedaled at a very slow rpm and speed between 10 and 13 miles an hour in a 3.5 hour ride or so. The next day at the bike shop I asked if there was a way to adjust/refine the assist levels to allow more effort on the cyclists part to contribute to the ride as I found it way too easy when pedaling at a normal cadence and it just increased the speed and wattage used depleting the battery faster and was told no. I am also not aware of an app that can link to the LCD panel such as the one on the new Velotric commuter bike I purchased for my wife that same day and which also comes with a find my bike feature. Maybe I have not figured out how to reset trip mileage vs total mileage and see other interesting statistics for rides but I hope AIMA adds these features and makes it available for the existing bikes that were sold. Torque sensor needs to be adjustable to rider to allow them to provide more effort. Can ride without battery assistant but in the 8th gear it takes a lot of effort.

I'm new to your channel, Lloyd...and glad I found you! Great, comprehensive review of the Big Sur. My wife and I are eyeing AIMA and Aventon. Wished we still lived in SoCal so we could come by your store! Are you as high on the Big Sur Sport as you are their full-size? Thanx!!

Yes I like that the sport has all the same power and features as the original. The smaller wheels help make for a bike that is a little easier for smaller riders to feel in control and for riders that need the lower center of gravity because of balance issues

@@BumsteadsBicycles- Thanx for the response, Lloyd! The Sport would be for my wife...who loves the size of her Lectric XP 2.0ST. We have an appointment to test ride some next month after we move to AZ. Can't wait!

Not a single full wide shot of the bike. Amazing that you managed to pull this off over a seven minute timespan.

The battery has lock . Unlock then turn a small lever and battery is released out the bottom of the down tube of the frame
