Possibly the smoothest start i have seen. I really appreciate the use of the resistors to bring up the generator speed beforehand. Btw. The game should really just explode the generator if closing yhe breaker out of sync.

The turbine does explode when it internalises the power, especially when your resistors are off before outputting to the grid lol

Your videos convinced me to get this game!. Awesome stuff!, I was watching this tutorial and noticed you start at raising the reactor rods to like 70%.. when I did that my reactor when critical all the alarms started blazing and the reaction never evened out =/ Not sure if somethings changed in the patches or if you playing at increased speed made this less noticeable.. but I found raising the rods by only 95 to start with prevented this from happening.. let it stable out. and the reactivity start dropping then go to 90,80,70,50,0, Though maybe it was because i had forgotten to turn my themometer and heaters on so my pressure was still at 0 (oops!) Eitherway! Thanks to your fantastic tutorial i now have a stable reactor generating power! :D

That's due to me having the Chemicals Experimental Mode in my game with Xenon etc. 😇 It's a little different than the base game and yes in base your reactor core is better at 95%+

@@ShArPy1o1Games Hmmm wierd i had the chem mode on too was following this vid as close too 1-1 as poss so was odd i got a totally different reaction to yours. I'll chalk it down to patch updates! Haha! :)

The Cemicals mode is currently broken mostly and isn't working as it should which is why I haven't uploaded a vid in a while for nucleares which is disappointing... keen to do more when I can but I just picked up the flu from my son and my voice has gone by by atm haha 🤯✌️

The Chem Module is broken in the current release. According to the Dev it is not for play but testing only. It will be removed in the next update 😥

I have just reverted the patch of the game to the one previous to the available patch that's out currently... Should be good to continue on the old patch for now till it's fixed properly

Anyone else having this bug where your boron dosing pump overloads sfter "x" amount of time using it. For me this usually happens after like a minute of using it. It gets overloaded and im not allowed to use it ever, after that

Kinda similar but with extra steps... Chemicals is broken currently, or at least the xenon is anyways 😥🤯

I've been having a big issue where I cannot seem to pump boron into my reactor no matter what I do. I tried to open the RCV and try it again, but still did not work. Any ideas? Is it a bug?

Being a little more specific, I keep getting the Overload light on my chemical pump for some reason. I'm not using it for anything else as far as I know.

There is a bug that happens with the boric acid... happens when a new Game is started from time to time... best thing is, restart steam and the game and start again fresh 🤪😇

It's interesting that you're running full rods out and controlling only with the boron. Since the chemical update, I've still been running with the rods, and just introducing enough boron to counteract xenon buildup. Do you think running full rods out is the intended method now, or is it something you're just doing for variety/as a challenge?

Boron is a moderator. Xenon is also a moderator. They do not counteract each other. The Xenon builds up at low temperature. So getting it hot fast is important. Otherwise the Xenon takes over and drops it completely. Running with the rods out seems a lot more stable. You can fine adjust the reactivity really easily i think. I feel like its less sensitive to the temperature moderator variation. I think we need some words from the developer on how this is designed. Also i want the rods to be cooler when piller out of the core to save their integrity. Currently it does not get cooled by pulling out.

I'm controlling the reaction with the boric acid only as it's something different and in theory it should have better control over a shutdown or an emergency, especially with the rods 'ready to go' anytime... Also the boric acid is a 'liquid form' of the control rods and have no effect on the xenon... to get rid of xenon, you need to increase the Reactors reactivity... or go and watch ep01 of my 1st Season as I explain everything really simply and while using a car analogy 😇✌️👌

The game has many bugs and the code is apparently a mess but the Solo dev is working hard to fix and to add more update in the near future

@@ShArPy1o1Games Thanks for the info. I wonder how actual plants do it -- do they use control rods only for shutdown/emergencies and control primarily with boron solution, or is it more of a mix of the two? Would be interesting to know the developer's vision on it...

Ive done heaps of research online and i cannot find the absolute answer to if they use either 100% or a bit of both unfortunately... if you find something, plz let me know 🤓🤣😎
