Your channel is really very interesting mate, I think you cover what's going on and what's available in Bangkok better than anybody else. Yeah seriously, because your channel is more broadly aligned and not only concerned with lets say nightlife activities. Keep it up dude !

I wish I could get the same subscriber numbers as you got!!!!:)
Thanks Jeroen! Always good seeing you. This is a great alternative to driving between Bangkok and Samui.
Would try it for fun, just to see the view sailing out the Chao Praya river
Great option. With enough time, I'd take it over the plane without thinking. A relaxing adventure; meeting people on the boat; have dinner and drinks. Compared to the stess of an airport and an instantly forgettable flight. You will always remember an interesting ferry ride. Life is about the adventure and the memories?
Awesome drone shots man !!!!! Thanks
Nice option to get to Koh Samui. Bangkok Airways has a monopoly on flying to Koh Samui so they are the most expensive airefares in Thailand to get to Koh Samui.

Yes monopolies should be illegal, let the competition drive the prize
Thanks for showing us around Jeroen 😃👍🏼
Wow this sounds fun! We are already coming this summer but will save this for another time when it isn’t rainy season :)
Super Thai, super ship, super video. Thank you very much.
Amazing!
Really good video !!
Very interesting option indeed Jeroen! But not for this summer, perhaps 2026. Relaxing on deck, nice music and a sunset towards Samui is something you don't have on an airplane. By the way...prices of getting there by air are also getting more and more expensive.
Thank you friend Jeroen for sharing your new vlog. It is another alternative that complements the vacation in that beautiful country of Thai. I like to travel by Ferries, I go to the Dominican Republic with some frequency. 😉🏅 Have a nice weekend.👍
Thats Interesting to know. 🙏
Zeker een hele mooie optie neem een mooie vrouw mee en doorrrrr😝🤩 , weer top video !!!
Wow😀
Nice info
สุดยอดเลยครับ
wow thank you

Greetings from Chicago! We’re traveling to this island in July.
Don't think Bangkok Airways will be getting worried anytime soon.

This is a car ferry. Different crowd then the ones going with the plane.
I think that suite in the back of the boat for families with pets have the artificial turf for them to go do their potty while on the boat, kind of like a dog run area, which is kind of cool I guess so they can get some fresh air. But, pretty cool review GTM, thanks!!

it’s about 18000 for the pet friendly suite tho ☹️
Many people in the comment section are comparing the price of the flights versus the ferry. Sorry there is really no basis for comparison. Please stop comparing. The target passengers of the ferry are people who want to take their cars or bikes to and fro. It may be far cheaper, but the drive between Suratthani and the outskirts of Bangkok, not including the ferry between Donsak and Samui takes around 8 hours without rest break. By the way, has anyone been on Samui or Donsak and try to the book the Seatran or Raja ferry in the recent months? Have you waited in the queue for 5 hours without any hope of ever boarding the ferry? Have you been stuck on Rama II for 3 hours? I think the stress and time is well worth THB12500 or more. And the ferry allows pets which is a huge plus.
Ideal for the comfortably of retirees with time to spare.

10 hours by car to the ferry terminal to Samui, 1 hour flight for B5,000, or the ferry for a 22 hour ride. Not sure I would take the slow boat from Bangkok but good coverage so that viewers can see the option.

It is a good option if you want to bring your car to Samui. In stead of driving, you can sleep. And next morning you are in Samui. Do they have Wi-Fi on the boat?
Interesting option for sure. I was hoping for a look at the engine room, that's where I worked during my stint in the USN.
balcony suit seems like a great deal if I can find 11 more people to travel with me.. even tho not sure how many of us would manage to get a bed haha :D
thx, i flight for less then 2000thb
So good experience
Way overpriced, compared with a 1 hour flight. But I suppose it'll be useful for those wanting to take their car from Bangkok. I don't see the service lasting for long!
Interesting Jeroen. Unfortunately, I will have blown my entire holiday budget getting to Samui. Do you know if the fast boat from Pattaya to Khao Takiap/Hua Hin will ever get reinstated? I never went on it, but sounded interesting also.
And Beer from Quingdao, the only one German colony in China, and the First what German's erected was a brewery. Tsingtao
If you live in Bangkok and want to bring a car on a holiday there are better options, Koh Chang perhaps. This looks more suited for a ferry-geek, I know a few🙂. That said, very informative video.

This is not for people who want to bring a car on holiday 😂 - it’s for people who want to bring their car To Koh Samui - and avoid the very long drive/ ferry
@andersfant4997

@@mrmartin2079 So you mean its for inhabitans of Samui, who bought a car in Bangkok and want to ship it back to the island..🙈. Of course its holiday traffic, the Company wants (probably without success, since the ferry takes a loong time) to be an attractive holiday option for Bangkokian holidaymakers who like to travel around by car. Cheers.

@@andersfant4997 eerrr yes that would me. Buying cars and furniture from Bangkok and driving it back Samui. I do it 3 -4 times a year.
The fare with Deluxe Rooms seems about equal to the flight with Bangkok Airways. I paid 5.300 baht per person for a single trip.I think choosig the Ferry is a good option.I will keep that in mind.
That’s a great idea, unfortunately no landing site for my helicopter 😂😂, I think it’s a very good idea to do this trip by ship, enjoying the sunset on the way to Samui✌🏼🤘🏼😊🇹🇭🍺☀️
hi,How long does the trip last please?
12,500 for a deluxe room WITHOUT a private bathroom? No way Hosay
Thank you to show us this option. Unfortunately I think that the prices are absolutridiculous for an old refurbished boat. Not exactly a luxurious boat😅
It would be nice if you could add a comment or video shot of accessible features for wheelchairs. I saw a wheelchair symbol on the boat. Curious about the accommodation. The multi level deck doesn't look accessible. It's not fun to pay the same as everyone else and then get a compromised experience. People with disabilities will recognize accessible features so you don't have to say much.
Two trips per month ??
When are they bringing back the ferry between Hua Hin and Pattaya?

When they develop Pattaya and create a demand!
The flights are a rip off. I really like this, just add on a couple of days to your holiday.

I dont get the point of that unless you like being on a boat. Only people with cars travelling would be expats. Holiday makerd would rent a car on the island or fly to Surat and rent a car there. The worst thing for me is they have no idea how to use the outside space on the ship.

Wow, your videos are awesome. But, although your video is good, I am a bit disappointed with the number of views. Your video thumbnails are not perfect.
It just doesn't make sense. 12k baht for 2 people, that's 6k each. You can fly USM directly with Bangkok Air out of BKK for 4,000 each, and be there in just over an hour. So unless someone has a strict reason NOT to fly, this is just a more expensive, slower option.

Sorry but I fail to see any attraction by going this way, at best it is a total rip off, a bit like the island itself.
Overpriced and not worth it. Flights and renting bike/car locally are much better
Lets hope this lasts longer than every other ferry service in Thailand, remember Pattaya to Koh samui, that lasted about a week
It’s a good way to try out cruise experience. I did my first cruise this year it lasted 7 nights and I have found out that this lifestyles isn’t for me and 7 nights was far too long, I wanted to leave after 3 nights, so 22 hours is good I think.
