New Axles and Saying Goodbye to the Suzuki

I replaced the left and right front axles then sold the Suzuki. I talk about how much I invested into the car and what I sold it for. Thanks for watching!

Hats off to the Wizard for allowing you to use the garage to make your videos. Albeit knowing other owners of mechanic shops they allow their technicians to work on their vehicles in off hours as long as they use only their own parts and tools. Even so - Wizard is cool for trusting you to be there after hours.

You gave the Suzuki away! Especially after fixing it up and making it right. Your time and labor was worth more than you gave yourself. Don't know how many miles it had on it, remember it from Tyler's video, even commented that my 88 year old mother has the 4 dr sedan with only 40K miles on it, same year or a 2006. In white as well. Good job regardless and nice to see you doing your own thing here on YT.

I am enjoying your shorter format very much. It seems all the "big" youtubers are going 15min and above on most videos, and I end up watching less of them. Often their videos are less specific, hard to title properly and in all honesty could be summurised in a handful of sentences. It shouldn't take more than 15min to walk round a car for a first impressions inspection or explain that you have sold one car from your fleet and bought another. I miss a youtube where most videos used to be under 10min. Your videos are like hanging out with a good car friend, very relaxing. Not tutorial, yet useful. Not scripted, yet naturally timelined and I'm left with a brief update of your car situation in general, not just the specific job at hand. Very natural, direct and well balanced videos. I enjoyed the piano playing at the hanger. Thank you for your videos, very pleasant.

Great video Magic Mike! I'm not surprised that your fully sorted out Suzuki sold so quickly, but I bet that there are some disappointed people on this channel that did not get a change to put in an offer. It's really sad how many scammers are on Social Media now, so many unsuspecting people are getting taken advantage of, especially older people that might not know any better and are used to trusting people.

My daughter has one of these, called Liana in Australia and it's a lovely car to drive. Really first class! Did this job several times because the replacement driveshafts were always different to the ones the spares shops had on their books - so be warned! Perhaps take the driveshaft to the spares shop - it could save you time and stress. Eventually got the right part for the RHS, but the LHS was different to what was on offer.

I'm a bit jaded when it comes to newer cars but Suzuki surprises me every time and its the small things I appreciate, As close as I can get the thought and engineering is like 70's Mercedes W116 and early 107 (I have a few) as they come apart nicely, a lot of thought went in to durability and I always fine something that makes me smile because my job is way easier than I thought. BTW Mike? Nice job on the E type, Worked on 50's and 60's Jags before and its a lost art .... Mk X and 420G still my favourite and those XK Gold top engines are awesome cammed up :-)

I wonder if the did a mid cycle redesign on these cars. I replaced my alternator twice on my 2003, and when I pulled passenger side front axle, it was attached to transmission and I had to replace the fluid that drained out. Interesting.
