Agree 😃Owned the OG Roland in 1982 but this definitely is one of the best TB vst's out there (if a bit pricey where I live) A nice evolution of the original though, as it goes way beyond what the original could do great sequencer IMHO more user friendly than rebirth. Expect the great presets would sell this thing too, yet likely get old (if they are not copyrighted) very soon, with millions of people using them, still one is only as limited as ones imagination/skill level and this is hours of fun.

Brings back Acid House also I remember Rebirth by Propellerhead Software it had an 808 and a 909

i have a physical TD 3 but i really like the look of this VST. I wasn't really a virtual synth guy until recently ive been having a lot of fun with ableton and I think I can do some cool stuff with both VST and hardware. took me forever to figure out my TD 3 tho lmao

I haven't even gotten around to trying out the presets yet - I've been having too much fun just custom rolling my own sounds with this thing. It's a riot!

It's absolutely awesome, I can't knock Arturia on this one - will be upgrading to V Collection X soon.

Im really impressed with this ,i have the abl3 and really like it ,but I'm tempted to get this now! It just looks like it has more advanced options than the others

Heya.. maybe you already got it, but i was on the fence aswell, owning the ABL3 already, but it is now on "winter sale" and it's amazing all around. Just by playing with it for 30 minutes i can tell i wont have zero regrets owning yet another 303 :D

I have a RE-303 from din sync. love running it through a fuzz, or OD pedal... but programming a full song, or even 64 bars, can be frustrating. And even then, you still have to capture a good performance during a playback. I've been waiting for a new software version for ages! from what I've heard it sounds solid. all the mod depth, fx etc. is a bit extra for me, but I'm sure others will find value there. good job Arturia

I cannot find the Run/Stop Button for stand-alone use.

Wish you could double click on the sequencer tab and have the sequencer go full screen, with all the notes displaying over a four octave range, so you don't have to bother with octave buttons. Works better no matter what key you prefer. Would be perfect then. Or.... allow external DAW sequencing but keeping the accent, glide and vibrato active.

This would be great in a hardware version

why? Software has a lot of advantages. Can't break it. Each to travel with. Sound is more consistent. Costs less. Can run multiples instances. Better UI (have you very programmed a 303 before?)

I bought it yesterday night. Have made an album by sunrise :') . What a beast of a plugin.

Uptempo is a genre of itself it's a modern fast and aggressive subgenre of gabber, explore it it will blow your mind ;) Really really cool Arturia includes this as a preset, u should play it at 200 bpm not 127 ;))

Thanks for the video! I would maybe pay $50 for this but definitely not $200 or even half price. I think it’s very specific for a genre or when seeking a specific arpegio within a synth. Cool VST though ;)

digitally good. soft but punchy. it's a pass for me without any external input for gritty sounds

Seriously 199€ for a piece of digital software, when you can have an hardware analog TD3 with distortion for 100€ ????

the original Roland blows them all away, and you can find it for free online...if you know what your doing..even this one lol!!!! sounds like everyone is on acid! its illegal mates~!

Very true... it's like an "acid" test... but really though, a test of who's an idiot and who's not... people who think phoscyon is the best = rode the short bus to school. ABL is literally better than analog TD-3 if you want to dip anywhere below C1. The video proving it is on my channel.

Your title of the vid suggests that you are comparing to the other big ones (ABL3, Phoscyon 2) to judge if this is the best one yet... but none of that. just some noodling. sad.
