NEW ARRMA Outcast 8s 1/5 "BIG RED" Smoking Hot Stunt Beast!!!

FUN for days!!! Finally got Big Red out for her maiden run despite a brutal heatwave and smoky, ash-filled skies. Absolutely loving this platform. I'll take full credit for tweakages. The 8s 1/5th commands respect and she took some brutal hits no question. Super impressed overall. The DX3 controller is very responsive and the Backflips tires performed great. Definitely giving her the full M2C Racing beefcake treatment though along with more power. Doesn't need a bigger system, but having extra grunt on tap is how I roll. Huge thanks to Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.

Absolutely LOVE Big Red 😍. I take full responsibility for the tweakages. That nose landing likely broke the brace end and allowed the chassis to bow. The shock shafts stayed straight after dropping down to plush 30 weight (350cst) 👍. Regardless, M2C Racing tool steel hardened shafts and O ring pistons will be going on soon as will Mitch's Outcast 8s 7075 T6 chassis 😱. As much as people want to see the truck run bone stock, I beefcake my rigs for a reason; so I can bash how I please. This truck is very fast with stock electronics and included 23T pinion 👀. That said, ridiculous power is fun too 🤣. Props to ARRMA for this wonderful Beast!!!!

Epic bash Rich. She handles really well & stays planted for a SWB Stunt truck. From what I've seen stock it holds up pretty well with Shorter Chassis & updated bracing, better than my OG Kraton 8s V1 chassis etc.. The bent Shock shafts seems to be the only common damages I've seen. Like you said easily sorted with Lighter weight shock oil though. Take Care matey 🙏

Great first run Rich! I'm super impressed with what these big trucks can do stock 💪💪 Arrma should really look into either thicker shock shafts or making them out of 7075. That's really the only weakness I have encountered with the stock set up. Of course bigger power all bets are off 🤣 Those batteries are a really good deal 👀

Thanks so much Brother Aaron 😜!!!! I'm super impressed too 👀. I do wish the shafts were 6-8mm myself. 5mm is fine for most bashing and moderate jumps, but not huge, full speed ramp sends and nasty one wheel hits 😱. Took big might sacrifice oil volume, but a little bigger would be nice 😍. Bigger power is SO friggin fun 🤣🥰🥰. Definitely challenges the wheels and adds some grams, but the payoff is smiles and laughs. I gotta give ARRMA credit here. Big Red is truly Fantastic. 🍻😎💪👊👊

On looks alone the red Outcast 8s is the coolest RC on the block. Glad you knocked the snot out of it stock before thinking of changing out parts. In just the one video we saw some hard knocks and resulting damage. Would like to see another stock run before you beef it up more. The BMX park looks to be almost too jump heavy to get a good run-up for a flat air jump. Looks like a lot kick the RC to the side and make it go wonky but recoverable for you in the air as well. It seems faster than I'd expected on flat ground. I like how it isn't as prone to backflip from a stop as the 6s is.

The BMX park use to be epic for huge transfers, but they changed it big-time and flooded it with smaller rhythm sections 😝. Not really my style especially with a big 8s rig. Thanks so much Kimberly 😍. I can relate to a long night partying 😂. Can't hang like back in the day. LOVE the SWB platform 🥰🥰. Mitch's Crusher 8s had me convinced it would be a hit. Actually turns much sharper at lower to mid speeds so long as you don't wheelie up dumping the throttle. I later found the pillow ball nuts backed out significantly 👀. Had to use Teflon (plumber's) tape on the threads. That had lead to serious camber slop until I noticed. Definitely dropping on M2C shafts, pistons, motor mount and chassis 💪💪. The stock set-up is quite durable if you're land cleanly and don't go ballistic, but can't stop progression either 😘. The stock shocks are over-dampened. They stayed straight after dropping the oils, but I wasn't going full bore until I get that beautiful body reinforced 😍👍👍😎💪👊👊

Congrats Josh 😱!!!! Not sure if you cranked up the punch, but going to max 5 helps. She'll flip on short steep jumps no problem. Just takes a heavy dose of hard throttle on the takeoff, not just once airborne. The stock motor needs to be pushed wide out. Gearing up helps get the wheelspin too. I'm super tempted to drop in my 5687 Hobbywing 1100kv😎💪👊👊

I went with the M2C chassis and chassis braces based on your Kraton 6s. I'd love to do some of the shock mods but those add up quick and stock shocks are already pretty expensive. Which motor would you recommend as being best all-around for the K6Sv4 on 6s HW Max6 with M2C chassis and supporting mods? I've already done all I can to get my diffs meshing perfectly and I made tool steel pins for the planetaries/sun gears on all 3.

@@richduperbash2966 Thanks! Just wanna quickly say thank you to you, Rich Duperbash and RC DUDE81 for making the Kraton 6S my "must have" truck for serious bashing. My build is based off the ones you guys show regularly while retaining as much of the stock parts as possible, only replacing things that are known to have issues with big air and high speed. So I have the basics like the Hot Racing servo mount, i was worried that the M2C/JBI mounts appeared to have sharp corners and I was worried about slicing wires on them. I did swap to an Integy aluminum bellcrank which I found to be better than I expected given the Integy reputation. The only thing that I plan on fabbing or buying for it is a better Ackerman bar, the Integy one looks exactly like the original but made with even weaker aluminum. I'm thinking either diy carbon fiber or 7071 from M2C. Im still using the stock shock towers, I've had no issues even with some pretty nasty landings, lawn darts and whatnot. At this point other than shock mods to reduce bounce I plan on only upgrading parts if they break or fail, particularly the towers. *edit Also i just wanted to add that I highly recommend the JX Ecoboost servos. Especially with an upgraded ESC with higher voltage BEC. I have one and it is very snappy and has been extremely durable through some pretty rough impacts to the front wheels. My servo saver is really tight and not super forgiving but the Ecoboost takes the knocks like a champ.

Now we need a comparison to help us buyers. Kraton 8s vs Outcast 8s. What seems to be better for bashing after moderate tweaks and changes? Looks like either way you need to buy the chassis. Regardless of the upgraded supports inside of the V2 kraton and this outcast. Or does it even really matter since they are so similar. Just mod one for abuse?
