I had a 68!!!!! It was straight up factory and base model, none of the fancy pants stuff this beautiful beast has!!!! But it still came stock with the 289 and is basically a mustang with a cat on the steering wheel instead of a horse!! Man I miss that car, the looks you get when driving are off the charts, it's a ton of fun as well, loved every feature about it, sequenced tail lights, vacuum covers on the headlights, the feel of the get up and go!!! Ahhhhhh!!!! Such a wonderful machine!!!! This one is incredibly beautiful!!!!! Someone has an ear to ear grin when driving that sucker!!!!

Wrong the s code cougar was nothing like a Mustang also further more they was bigger and handled allot better but they was close i will give you that and they wouldnt exist today unless so many mustangs was made

Just pulled mine out of storage after four years. Already had to replace the electric fans. Tomorrow’s the power steering pump. Then onto the ac. Never ending but worth every penny

Nice! My first car in high school was a '67 Cougar XR7 blk vinyl top powder blue with a 289 ci which I supped up my second was a '70 Eliminator Boss 302 competition orange how I miss the Boss! Vanguard has the best muscle cars!

I own a 1967 Cougar and a 1968 Cougar XR7 mostly for parts. I'm all but finished it just needs the upholstery to be painted and assembled. Also I'm not going to paint it I'm going to Vinyl wrap it gloss black with a Cougar stripe on the hood and trunk lid, not the roof. Can't wait to ride this thing.

Lovely. I've always wanted to do one of these up like Eleanor. This is getting pretty close. I think the cougar of this year is better looking than the mustang, and that's saying something because the 68 mustang is a beautiful car IMHO.
