I think you should keep the second couch, get rid of the media console, mount the tv and get like a floating shelf for under the tv. You'll lose the storage but it would look so good! I made the mistake of only getting one couch and I regret it. You could always put something for storage in the corner then or by the bar.

Thank you for not getting a white couch and all white furniture!!!!! Color is fine and it's funny to see other places with the "clean aesthetic" but it looks more sterile then a hospital!! Lol, loving the normalcy in your videos

White couches are so nice though you throw them in the wash with bleach and they always come out like new. You can't do that with color.

@@love_nyc_ every week? Are you going to have mud fights on the couch? You bleach them every few months. It takes a while to look dirty. I clean mine every 4 sometimes push it to six months. Bleach is bad for your skin if you pour bleach on your skin and bathe in it. Washing the covers every few months with bleach isn't going to do anything. I hope you never stay at a hotel they clean your bed sheets and pillowcases with bleach. Either way, your washer should have a rinse cycle...and I give them one wash with bleach and then follow up with a 2nd regular detergent wash so it smells good.

I think you should flip your living room. Put the tv on the wall the sleeper is on, put the sleeper in front of the window by the bar counter, and it might give you enough room for some kind of smaller console or shelving unit!

Just noticed the outlets on the wall above the sleeper sofa. That is your Connection for your television and cable.

you know you're an adult when you're excited about furniture ha! Also you could get like those pull up portable tray tables thingys so that if you are eating you can pull it up in front of you, and not be spilling on your pretty couches. Then also tuck them away when you're not eating and want open space. You could also get a different side table that has drawers to hold anything that you might have had in the console

I like the two sofas idea, but I would move the sleeper sofa infront of the window, and the loveseat to the wall where the sleeper sofa is currently located. Or if it feels to crowed consider moving the sofa to infont of the window and get an accent chair for additional setting.

yay for finally having furniture!! also a side note, i feel like buying a couch off somewhere like wayfair is way cheaper than renting! my wayfair couch was less than $300. i just looked and a couch through Cort was $87 a month... so like $900 for the year ://

I hope she got a deal from the sponsorship, because as someone who grew up poor and has had plenty of dealings with "rent to own" places like rent a center or aarons, it's a huge waste of money. Sure, $20 a week for some furniture sounds like a great deal, until you realize it'll take you 3 years to pay off and you end up paying $2000 more than what it's actually worth. And it sounds like Cort is just straight rent, not rent to own, so you're wasting even more money because you have nothing to show for it at the end.

Yea, I looked into that a while back. Its a waste of money to rent. I much rather buy and potentially sell the couch later. You guys are renting, so why not just buy and put it in storage if you're worried about it for summer? At least you own it. Public storage is like $30 a month. Still saving ALOT

Yay for furniture and it looks very comfy! When I moved into my first place I did not have seating right away, and it is very nice when you get it so you do not have to sit on the ground. The best decision to have two couches for movie nights.

i think you should put the tv on the wall where the sleeper couch is and seating around it. a small console for the tv would fit perfectly over there and no need to drill holes in the wall if the console fits the tv.

you should move the longer couch to the window and move the shorter couch to where the tv console was. Then put the tv on that big wall! I feel like that room fits it the opposite way than you have it! Just think of how awk it was before with the tv in the corner on that wall

I would definitely keep the second couch because the room looks SO much better with two couches.

Definitely only do one couch. And get rid of the media console it’s not needed and its taking up extra space and eye space. Maybe add a cute bean bag or chair in the corner where the console was and a lil table or bar cart and mount tv!

I think u should switch ur living room. Where the couch by the wall is move it to where the media counsel use to be and mount your tv on the huge wall! That will create a more open concept from your breakfast bar to your living room! Right now it looks pretty squishy when you have to walk through it.

I think u should get rid of the media console and move it to the little hallway area when you walk in and there’s that floating shelf and mirror. switch the little side table and lamp and push the couch. it opens up more space between the breakfast bar and the couch☺️ it looks like there’s very little space between the breakfast bar and the couches rn.

If you don’t want to get rid of the console then you should ditch the little side table in the corner and get a sectional couch that fits the same way the first couch does along the wall and then get a lounger that goes along under the window starting from that corner if that makes sense. So it’s basically a big couch with three cushions but the third in the corner is longer than the other two and goes along under the window.

I actually love CORT!!! I rent furniture for them when I first moved...most of the furniture from CORT is staging furniture they use in different houses so it was all nice for my house before I had to the time to buy all my nice furniture lol

Get a cute bean bag or love sac for that space! They are perfect and don’t take up much room

Watch out for that second couch, the sun can bleach the material if its in direct sunlight :/ could be bad when you're only renting it, so maybe put a throw blanket on the couch to keep it covered where the sun hits it :)

Did you try putting the tv console on the other wall (big) wall and moving the couch furthest from the living room window to the side where the media console is? Would that work?

Gretchen you should keep both couches and instead move the second one where the tv console is and put the tv console in front of the window, you won’t have any glare on your tv and you should still be able to keep all your furniture! and it will probably still look good too!

the living room kind of looks like a dorm room or hospital with the two couches.. if you take one couch back you should get a chair or something so there’s enough room for more than two people to sit on it

You can’t clean mattress, couches etc from those types of bugs it’s literally impossible. You have to throw everything away
