Hello how do you get your ants to not care about the light? i have a small colony of 20-25 worker pheidole noda in a saturn nest, they are in the dark rn but when i move them into the light they nest inside of the entrance where they go to the tubes

Some species will choose the dark over light if it's available. I've never covered the tubes in Saturn's and they just get used to it. They should soon realised it's nicer by the cotton then far away from it. Really wish I had some amazing tip for you but I didn't do anything special, I just don't cover mine 😅. I think the disturbance from moving covers or unwrapping tubes creates way more stress through vibrations then the light ever does. How long have you tried leaving them in the light for? @@antsengland714 Thanks, ive had them sit in the light for 3 days no vibrations and they havent nudged, they used the tube as their food storage lol
