    Larry! I gotta say, I absolutely love how you keep innovation going with your products! I bought the first regimen kit in may 2013!! Coming up on 10 years now of being a Ammo NYC product supporter I just want to say thanks sooo much for the commitment you have for your products! I can't even begin to imagine the effort it takes with developing and testing products before they get released to the public. Your passion defiantly shines through in each one! I can't wait to try the Pro II soon! If you ever need someone to test products before release or want product suggestions I would be glad to help! Thanks so much again for the years of knowledge and amazing products!! Hope to meet you someday and give my thanks in person - Paul Had to add a edit in this. The 964 looks sooooo goood still!!

    Vids have grown from very good to great, info is stellar. Two days ago I used my 3 plus year old but unopened AMMO ceramic, on a decently prepped car that has 25K miles. At 8K miles there was spray on Mothers ceramic. Back then used random orbital, the right light medium pad, light cutting compound, Sonax, washed buffed off residue, finished with two spray on coats of Mothers ceramic. Fantasitc results. This was before the AMMO ceramic came out. Easy to touch up every 3 months. After I had done this discovered the original AMMO for the low low cost of about $60. Professionals were suggesting that I remove the Mothers spray on. I had spent so much time doing it and the results were very very good so was happy enough. Two days ago time came to random orbital in prep for the AMMO. I used medium Meguiars compound to remove old ceramic and mild water spots, alcohol to remove residue. Put on 2 coats of AMMO ceramic ( over 3 years old). So easy to apply and remove after 5 mins. Waited 2 hours between coats. Curing now, for 4 days. No detailer would answer question on whether old unopened product was ok to use. It most definitely is. Pending final results but the product speaks for itself. It is all about the prep. Of course there are improvements over time but the price has tripled. Still a bargain. I only used half bottle on 2 door coupe. Will wait the 4 days and rinse off. Hoping to see amazing beading and sheeting. Took me about 4.5 hours and I am slow... but methodical.

    Hi Larry, congrats on the new product! A question: is it as forgivable and easy to apply and buff out as previous Reflex Pro? Meaning, if you miss a spot while wiping off and the product dries out, do you have to polish that spot to take it off? IIRC, with Rexlex Pro you could just reapply the product on that spot, let it haze and wipe it off. Could you please also talk about expected longevity and how to remove the coating after some time?

  • @AMMONYCSTUDIO

    @AMMONYCSTUDIO

    10 ай бұрын

    Depends on humidity and cure time. If you miss a spot during the application, yes you can likely lift the "high spot" with your applicator and a little coating. If the high spot cures, it will likely need a light hand polish to remove. I would expect 2 years protection with normal conditions/maintenance. The coating can be removed with polishing or clay bar after its active life cycle.

    Does ceramic coating ur windshield make t grabbier. My winsdhield have been catching lots of fusts lately. And i have had to clay it quite a lot, else the wiper feels as if its running on dry or on sand paper. I also use glaco water repellent. Is there an alternative for clay on the windshield something chemical base and not physcial.

    Hi Larry, I'm an original Reflex user from 2016 and haven't applied the Reflex Pro II. How would you compare the process between the 2? So many "horror" stories when applying ceramic coatings with streaking and product not being level etc. I have recommended Ammo NYC products to car enthusiast friends and have been out of the car care game for few years and now have a black luxury SUV that is used for airport transportation and frequent washing isn't practical so I have use a drive thru car wash. I am planning to get the paint corrected and ready for Reflex and then add a polymer on top then a paste wax. Anything I might be missing? Thanks and love the products

    Depends. I pressure wash the towels first and then throw them in the laundry. They seem fine but they probably will scratch paint worse then a brand new towel so up to you to decide that risk factor. Other wise they can be used to clean wheels calipers exhausts interiors or other things that aren’t scratch sensitive. I’ve pressure washed and cleaned the blue applicator pads after hardening for months and they were totally reusable. hope this helps

    Yvan Lacroix, and Larry have mentioned that if you want a coating to last longer preparation is key. At least, polish to clean the paint, you do not have to take out the scratches if you do not want to. I would email Larry and see what he says.

    He wears PPE because he is around those products every day for months or years at a time. I am sure if you apply the coating once every couple of years, you don’t need to worry about exposure. I applaud him for being cautious.
