Boost is not dead. The hype is. Since everybody can easily have them nowadays, the feeling of exclusivity is gone. Everybody is now happy and satisfied(except for resellers).

I wanted it since probably 2016 or so but resellers have made it harder for me to actually get one. Now I got my first UB for half the price due to a sale and I'm that I got it and at a nicer price.

It’s because most people only liked UltraBoosts because of the hype. Any true UB fan is happy with all the new ones coming out. I do think they’ve kinda botched colorways and innovating on the model but recently they seem to be on the right track

Love boost. Was late in the game as I've never been into any of the bigger more popular brands. But the first time i tried a pair of UB20 my feet were in heaven. I now only buy runners with Boost.

I just copped that one pair that has the GITD cage. They look fire and you can never go wrong with UB’s.

Just got a couple and it’s nice to ride on the OG platform too. I have so many 19s I don’t wear because of the heel being hard and too sloped, unless you’re running hard. But for day this much better. Feel kinda like my Pharrell Hu solar glides.

Bought my son this exact shoe December 2020 and he wears them just about every day and they are still in great shape. He is starting to outgrow them, but I can't find anymore of them. They have by far been the best shoe that he's ever worn. They still look new. I would love to have gotten him the white and black pairs too.

@@reese3779 Thanks! I'll tell him. I just ordered him 2 pairs of ultra dna 5.0 yesterday. They should be in this week. They really are great shoes and while they're not cheap, they are good looking but more importantly well-made.

I have been buying Ultraboost since 19 and have 20,21 and now 22. I still think the 19’s were best! Do you know if the DNA 5.0 are similar to the 19’s as find the new 22 a bit bulky. I have no stores near me that sell them and always order online. I now have circa 4/5 redundant pairs as I just don’t enjoy wearing them as much. Great video by the way

Something I don’t hear you talking about is the width of the shoes around the ankle. I am new these shoes and have a few pairs but I notice some are tight around the ankles, others aren’t. It seems the 4.0 are the widest based off this video ?

Hello i wanna know which ultraboost is best for casual lifestyle and stylish shoe.

Just bought a pair of triple black 5.0s today. Next is to get Wool grey and triple white or cream.

With all the prime blue knits around now I think it's worth comparing how the upper feels compared to shoes in the past. I know you said it was not as stretchy as past primeknit, but is it as soft? I tried on some ultra boost 20s but ended up not copping because it wasnt as as soft or cushioned around the top of my foot. I've also tried on some primeblue knits that were pretty comparable to my 1.0s so it seems like it varies heavily. The reason why I love ultra boosts is because its so comfortable and soft both around the upper and underneath my feet.

100% agree. For me the difference of comfort between 4.0 and 5.0 prime blue was huge. 4.0 i had to wear in, which i found bizzare seeming it is a trainer. Just bought 5.0s and they are so much more comfy... Just the colourways arent great at the moment...

Are they snug just like other DNA series? Remember when I got UB2.0 (2018) then sold already because of loose feeling, up half size was unnecessary on UB2.0

Are there any downsides of wearing them without the insole?

Love my DNAs, but the rate of wear on the Continental outer is scary! Friend at work, with DNAs had the same; thru to the white boost material in a few months. The non DNAs have a different outer sole, like my 22 Goretex’s, and wear (so far) minimal.

Hello thank you so much for the video I’m now wearing a pair of the grey ones 5.0 DNA. Just walking around on your feet for 12 hours is it worth while looking at the 21s, and the souls the same? Would this DNA just mean a slight change to pre-existing technology? @@gilbertoflores7397 the new Stan Smith is supposed to be made entirely of sustainable in 2021 for its anniversary. Unfortunately Boost, even on the Parley versions, is not. But I am a big fan of the Parley releases. 👍

@@SneakerHistory you do know all that sustainability stuff is nonsense. Mass production of anything, especially clothing and synthetic stuff at that, will always be bad for the environment, regardless of all the trickery they'll say they're doing to reduce carbon. The best way of making something more sustainable would be to make better quality products that you would need to buy less frequently. Which they won't do, it would eat at their profits. Parley has always been pretty ideal as they're removing junk from the ocean, to be reused.
