New 40mm Tag Heuer Aquaracer 200
Ойын-сауық
#aquaracer200 #tagheuer
The new 200 comes with a few welcome changes to the Aquaracer platform. It also carries some aspects I think are a step in the wrong direction. My ideal Aquaracer would carry a mix of elements from both this 200 as well as the larger 300. What do you think?

I enjoyed my Aquaracer Calibre5 for a long time of period and it's just a superb timepiece
These new 40mm automatic Aquaracers with silver sunburst bezels are super hard to find right now and that's a bummer. Looks just as cool as an Omega Aqua Terra if not cooler. Not as nice of a movement though but much more affordable. Very modern and sporty. I think Tag design department hit it out of the park with this size and design.

Cheaper to service too because of the ease
Definitely liking the look of the 200
I love this watch and the polished center of the bracelet is a part of what makes the watch amazing. The 40 mm is just right.
Hey Bruce great Video! I bought the 30mm with the ice blue dial for my wife as a nice vacation/travel watch for her. She loves it so far and it looks great on her! Not a watch I would wear my vacation watch is the Breitling Super Ocean 42 in blue. Picked hers up from the AD Quartz mind you, for $1350. Great value
Love that dial and the size
I like it! Love the side and the case profile too
Just got my 40mm Aquaracer 200. There's a couple things I think are missing from your video Bruce: 1- there is a toolless micro-adjust in the clasp that allows a half a link's worth of adjustment by folding a specially designed link. 2- there's no lume pip on the bezel, which isn't a deal breaker for this type of piece but it's something I didn't even notice till it got delivered. I do agree about the polished center links, but the tradeoff is that it's easier to wear the Aquaracer in lieu of a proper dress watch in some situations.

Thank you
Gorgeous time piece!
Nice review, Bruce, thanks🙂👍. Watch is beautiful. Still would rather the bezel be round, but guess I'm getting used to it
Looks pretty awesome....
I think its great idea for 200 line have their own identity as kind of differentiate between 300 line and adding more choices further its functionality as well. Im considering it as my daily wear and will be adding in the collection. Like the smokey dial, the size, the thickness and if the price is right looking for below retail one and tear my wallet
I'm waiting for the Black Solargraph coming out in October looks amazing
Tag nails it again.
Excellent review. Option for a ceramic bezel would had been nice. Silver on silver, not much contrast. Though step in the right direction for keeping it at 40mm.

Equally as important though, is the lug-to-lug which they kept below 48mm which is great for a watch this size. Tired of companies making 39mm watches that have lugs at 48mm for no reason (looking at you Longines Hydroconquest)
I went into a tag boutique to see this today. I thought I was interested in the grey dial, but in person it has a beige/ brown tone. The blue is much nicer and now tempting me!
Nice summary. I own the blue reference and love it. Easy wear at 40 mm. Love the bezel and dial. Agree about the PCLs. They are finger print magnets.
I just picked this one up in the blue. If they made a blue Aquaracer in the quartz, I probably would of bought that instead. Speaking of the quartz, the salesman told me that unless you send out the watch for a battery replacement, you lose the waterproofing. That was kind of a deal breaker for me with buying the quartz.
Perfect size 😎👌

This is very similar to the old 2000 series and it’s lovely 😊. The main aqua racer is nice 👌 but 1 it’s to big 2 the cyclops eye 👁 doesn’t look great 3 it’s very like the omega seamaster. But I’ve always loved a 40mm diver watch or sports watch, this is where they should be not43mm in my humble opinion. Rolex should have stayed at 40 mm with the sub , the gmt 2 with the jubilee bracelet is perfect 👍🏻 . If tag heuer still have plastic spacers, I think 🤔 they should stop this practice and add steel or aluminium ones. Just the opinion of an amateur watch lover

The omega is nearly perfect , seamaster diver, it would be perfect if it was 40mm
Very nice
Ya know Bruce, I realize that this is kind of a "copout," but I actually like them both, pretty much equally. What I mean is, that there are elements, that I really like, and dislike, about both models. Speaking for myself alone, I feel that if money were no object, that they are different enough, that each, could hold a place together, in the same collection of mine. I also see that we have the classic "plastic movement holder debate," going on in the comments below....lol. I love that one. I've seen people (as have you, I'm sure), get into some pretty fierce debates, over that topic. SMH. Lord, we have a problem....lol. Maybe I should consider therapy, after all. No seriously, great video as usual, Bruce. Looking forward to the next one. Take care....
I tried one on. Loved it. And I love quartz and tag. But the fact they removed the strap adjust feature from the quartz, and its not a special quartz as far as I know... for 2800usd. That's just a stupid price. For maybe 3500 or 4000usd, you could get a tudor yes? Which is arguable a more prestigious brand with an in house. I want this watch, but just can't do that price for quartz.
If that bracelet was not polished, then its a winner for me.

25 dollars at a jeweler and your all set.
I love the size of this watch and I don’t mind doing without the magnifier. However I do not like the polished links and the brushed bezel makes it look like a Citizen mall kiosk watch. If the aqua racer Pro 300 came in this size I would already own one. I love everything about the Pro300 except the width.
Great review and love this watch but you can get a Longines hydro conquest for more than 1k less and it has a better movement. But sadly they both have polished center links and they are better suited for a shopping mall watch.
Excellent review Bruce, I am in market for a new watch and which way is best to get brand new via tag Heuer site or wos boutique ? what would you suggest
Do they put the plastic spacer in this ?
Excellent review. Love the look. What is the color of the dial? Is it grey or brown?
@mjhastings4534

Grey smoke but looks brown in some lights it's truly amazing
I have the 43MM and it's very nice, but it's starting to feel "too big" and heavy (crown bite). I really like the 40mm size but wish they had the same features.
Holy...that's a lot of money for a barely modified 2824. I would probably wait until these come on the second hand market for similar money to the SW200 powered Oris 65s.
Your reviews are always great but the problem with this tag and most of them is you can buy many watches for 1k less with a much better movement.I love this model and especially in Red.
I like this model very much! superb entry to the swiss luxury
Hi , you know category stainless ?
I like the previous gen better, but this will likely grow on me. I like the seconds hand better on this one.

They always do
is 200 newest version or 300?
Does anyone know if this is considered the "Black dial"??
Would have preferred a navy blue coloured bezel/dial. Not sure if the 200 comes in that variation. If they do i mied it (seeing it) on their website. Prefer the
ETA 2824 or Sellita 200?
I would buy it in a heartbeat if it had a black ceramic bezel
Can it be worn casual ...cause it looks shinny and glitzy?

It’s a sporty, good looking, functional diver that can be worn any day with any outfit
Like what Tags doing this year, seems like they’re maybe starting to hear feedback from the customer base
I like it- 43mm seems too big
It seems that alot of watch afficionados are not fans of polished center links. TAG does it, Omega does it, even Ball does it. Personally, it does not matter to me but I wonder why they continue to do it? Anyway, good review, Bruce.

I think you're right, and my guess is, they don't think most end customers won't actually open the watch, so they throw in as much cost-cutting as they can. Sad. Just proves they don't make 'em like they used to.

NOT even close - and I like Seikos….
Sold my Rolex submariner with the Cyclops for a Tag Heuer carrera calibre 5 years ago and never looked back.
The movement inside looks real tiny.
I think TAG is a great entry point into the luxury watch world. The Formula one and Aquaracer were the first few watches I owned in the $1000-$4000 range. With that being said there are too many better options out there today. TAG used to be an iconic brand, but their advertising, smart watches and subpar movement have doomed the brand a bit in my opinion. They should follow what Breitling has been doing if they still want to be relevant in the future.
@DavidZafra

@@kevinp4305 nope - NONE of them are as attractive watches as these new Aqua Racers… None of them are more desirable to me & if I saw someone out at a bar wearing one of these new Aqua Racers next to someone wearing a Black Bay - I would be MUCH more interested in the Aqua Racer… It’s significantly better looking, sportier, cooler & sharper than that completely BORING over bought over worn - TRITE Tudor Blackbay every boring person buys…And basically every Breitling I see these days looks like a Big childish Seiko - Only the Seikos look more original with better colored, better looking dials…. The TAG Carrera series are gorgeous looking in person too. Much classier looking and sharper than the BB or Breitlings ANY DAY in my book - so to each their own… But your opinion sucks

I’m sorry but I think this is a step backwards for Tag. The previous 41 mm Aquaracer is better looking in many ways to this one. They should have kept the same design with minor/subtle improvements and it would have been great. This also reminds me of a Formex reef for some reason. I’m not a Tag hater, in fact I like them. Just two weeks ago I bought the previous 41mm Aquaracer in blue with orange accents WAY211C.BA0928, I love it! For the right price I’d consider this watch to be better than almost anything in the 1,500-2,000 price range.
