Nice review. I already bought the black version and getting it fitted with accessories including cruise control before my one month ride across USA. For some reason i keep getting review videos, but its always nice seeing other folks perspectives. After one month of riding just locally after work and on weekends, i think i made a great choice.

It's been lovely seeing you there Kate, didn't want to interrupt your recording, seems that mission was unsuccesful, oops! O.o The route you recommended was great practice, I have since gone on a dual sport adventure around Yorkshire Dales with a TRF group. Best day on two wheels so far! Too bad the weather wasn't great for you in Wales, it's such a scenic place, if you get the chance to look around. Props for wild camping though, I want to do this next year. Maybe we meet somewhere on the road again then, salutations!

i like the looks of the Transalp, the engine seems good too, my only issue is the tank capacity (if only it was 20l) and tubed wheels... price wise seems like a great deal.

It has tubed wheels. Did you mean tubeless? It's really hard to do tubeless spoked wheels. BMW used to be the only ones doing it. I'm kinda surprised Honda didn't on this bike. Would have been a cool little perk. They were really trying to keep price down on all their new stuff. I wonder if the Africa Twin is the same way.

The 3 liters will add almost 7 pounds of weight at the top of the bike. I prefer a lower center of gravity and with the 16.9 liter tank it has a 245 mile or 400 Km range.

I would like to see this engine in new generation of Honda NC750 with DCT option. I feel transalp 750 with big rims is more adventure bike rather than sports tourer. NC750 or NT750 with new engine, upgraded brakes and supsension will be nice middle size sports tourer with 17 inch rims. Current NC doesn't lack power and torque but few more horses AND other upgrades are always welcome

My comment about rev counters on bikes was misunderstood , my intention was to point out the how times have changed aspect of having a fitted rev counter as old geezers like me mostly don’t know what you would use one for , i have had two or three i think and the nature of the bikes wearing them was such that i used them to prevent the big grenade under me but blowing a hole in my new levi’s lol , so no offence was intended and hopefully none given in general i enjoy your reviews ,from a girls point of view is no bad thing👍

depends what you're intending to do with the bike. Stock Tenere will spank the Transalp off road in the right hands but the Alp will be better suited to distance touring on road. I'm pretty sure the aftermarket will come up with the necessary to make the Alp a more accomplished off roader in due course. They're both still heavy bikes to pick up, when all's said and done....
