Geee, Honda is way behind the competition with their design. They totally missed the market opportunity by not releasing the Talon back in 2012/2013. I would have never purchased my RZR XP. Polaris was fine, but the engine lifespan will never be as good as Honda. Honda either gets serious about the design of their SxS following the CAN-AM sexy and aggressive looks, with the KRX suspension style and features, or they will never lead the market. I'm a huge fan of Honda motorcycles and cars, but the Talon looks like a kid's toy next to the competition. Come on Honda, drop the obsolete 2012 Talon and bring a new totally redesigned machine with a factory turbo installed for high-elevation rides, and we will join the family!

Who wants to see Honda go ALL OUT and throw either the CBR1000RR or CBR1000RR-R engine in a special edition version of the Talon 1000? It'll give them the perfect opportunity to throw more Rs in there for a Talon 1000RR or Talon 1000RR-R lol! I couldn't imagine the fun factory of having a Talon with an inline-four screaming behind you with 215 horsepower! ...I'd have to sell both kidneys to own one but don't tempt me with a good time lol!

Honda needs to stop playing it so safe. Ditch i4wd, it's complex and stupid. Offer legit a legit locker up front and add a factory turbo COME ON!!!!! AND while you're at it, make a more sporty Pioneer, the RMAX is selling a LOT of units!

I'm 100% with you there bud! Not everyone wants to drop $40K+ on a SxS but clearly, the market is there! Now if only we could get Honda to jump in there and throw a K20 engine in one and offer a factory turbo option as well, among other updates... maaaaaan oh man, would that be AWESOME! The only downfall though is that I'd have to hit the lotto so I could buy one lol!

Honda needs to compete with the rest of the side by sides and have a factory turbo. They also need to get rid of the i4wd system and go with a locker up front. That would be a cheaper set up and you can get more factory accessories with the money saved by dropping the i4wd

I’m shocked that a year after they made some changes they are making some changes so quick to the Talon, but it’s great to see them finally putting some effort into making them better. The naming sounds like what they do with the CRF450RS version.

Yeah buddy, these new iterations were in the works well before the 2022 model year updates were finalized but they couldn't do the "S" name change for 2022 as then it would've given away their game plan. As like you said, this isn't their first time doing this by expanding model lineups with throwing an S in the mix on the "older" version. ...I just wish we were getting a new four-cylinder engine thrown in there but hey, beggars can't be choosers these days with engine platforms, with the big push on the way towards electric! Can't wait to share more details and what else is on the way, definitely some cool stuff in the works from 2-wheels to 4 with Honda throughout the rest of the year... Sporty-utility talon! Waiting for one!

I think the aftermarket cages have proven you don’t need such a steep rake to accommodate the stadium seating. It is, single handedly the thing I dislike the most about my x4. Wishing for the day day of a r4, turbo with a cage redesign.

How does Honda hold up in the mud? I just bought the X-4 and wondering if it’s worth building for the Florida mud.

I remember working as a mechanic at a Honda dealership in the early 70s, bought a new CR250 in 1973 for $ 750.00. Thinking some day dirt bikes will be over a thousand dollars.

All these changes are nice but the main change needed is more HP.

We won't see the name change to RR just yet, they're still sticking with the single R on these upcoming models ;) Now once we finally see Honda throw a four-cylinder in one or a factory turbo model, then it'll open up the door for an RR model and just like you - I can't wait!

Hey Kevin I’ve noticed that Honda releases the same models in the same colors. For example I see the rancher dct in blue, I see the recon and foreman in red, they offer other colors but it seems like they only produce one color for that said model. Why is that? Looking for a rancher 420 dct in red

Man... here in Canada people are still waiting on thier 2022's to come in. Honda is losing a lot of sales up above the state line here because of supply issues.

Need to move the rear trailing arm mounts 4 inch farther forward with a longer arm to help with balance of the machine and let the rear tires roll over obstacles better. More people are using them for climbing more then desert racing.

I wish for a new trx450r that is efi

Yeah buddy, super interesting to see what they're cooking up as this is outside of their norm when it comes to ATV timelines and the entire 2023 model lineup has already been announced. Which leads you to think... ...a new ATV? A new sport quad? A new Rincon? Definitely enough to make the mind wander a bit and sadly, there's not much else I can share at the moment but it's not too far away thankfully lol ;)

Lol maybe... if they're lucky! ...but you just jinxed them, so yeah, Honda's dropping that allotment number down to one 🤣 Fingers crossed after they get a few more things ironed out with their ATV / SXS plant changes etc, mixed in with the rona mess, they'll finally be able to start pumping these things out. Needless to say, the vast majority of people that have tried to buy a Honda over the last few years, aren't the happiest campers in the world with the. Unless they got extremely lucky that is and just so happened to stumble across what they were looking for at the right time but most haven't been so lucky.

They need to make the rear subframe removable to make the engine removal easier. When doing this, make 1-2 master electrical plug connectors at the front to also aid in the engine removal. Having the cylinders be a part of the upper case is also a pain in the a**!. This needs to be changed for easier cylinder boring.

Now that canam has upgraded there Atv line up will Honda finally do the same

@@HondaProKevin Like I said I ride street bikes and it wasn't until the last three bikes I have bought that I can interchange the pads, technically they are supposed to be different but with just 1mm difference front to rear they work great, d=so I get 1mm more pad on the rear now

Personally still waiting for a turbo model to some out before I upgrade from the pioneer

100%! Still blows my mind that Honda hasn't given that a whirl yet and has kept on with the current deal through JR. I can see the benefits to both Honda and dealers for doing it that way but I really think building their own exclusive turbo model would net a return that would far exceed those "benefits".

My brother is buying a pioneer 700 and his dealer told him that they redesigned the rincon ! And he said they bumped up the displacement to around 700cc he wasn’t 100% sure he said he thinks it in the 700s . But according to him it’s going to have cvt transmission?wtf . It better not!!! Hopefully the styling makes up for it . ( if it true)

I am disappointed at Honda's marketing department because they said that the 2023 Talon X live valve was going to be the same as the Talon2022 X live valve. Well after riding a 650 Rincon for years and recently retired I thought it was time to move up to a Talon. Went to the dealership in mid February and they had no info on the new models and they said I couldn't sit down an even order one !!! Now I see the new release from Honda and can't get a Red one only Blue !!! For me Honda is RED not Blue. Polaris Is Blue!!! Well it looks like I won't be spending me retirement money with Honda 😡 Thanx for letting me vent . Steve G. Dilworth Mn.

I'd love a street legal one in Florida. I've done a little research on what it would take, and I'm not exactly sure yet the steps I'd need to take to convert it. For this reason, I'm looking at a Pioneer 1000-5 since it wouldn't draw as much attention around the neighborhood.

I bought a new 2023 talon it only has 60 miles on it and all the paint is coming off the trailing arms and rear suspension I cannot believe they're painted straight to the metal no primer they should offer us a shock upgrade for a very low price the shocks springs that are on this model are horrible

hopefully, Honda fixed all the problems they had with this rig. You know transmission issues, u-joint issues, rear suspension bucking issues, clamp, falling off and getting sucked into the intake. Do I need to go on. Knowing Honda they probably just added a new color and left everything the same.

Cage redesign. It's ugly, and that's my number one bugaboo. Secondly, let's get an affordable 230hp turbo R variant with a front electronic locker. Maybe some doors that have rubber seals and shut tight without slamming them. Stick with the live shocks. I think more people will dig it as they experience it. Most of all come in 5k cheaper than polaris and offer zero percent interest from Honda and you wouldn't keep them in a dealership for more than a week, in my opinion.

CHANGE THE BED NOT ENOUGH ROO.!! AN GET RID OF LEFT SHIFT PEDAL IT GETS IN THE WAY.

So let me get this straight. Honda is making changes now adding these things because they wouldn’t before even though they knew it’s something we would want. I don’t believe there listening. It’s just like we have all been asking for more storage and a atv that would preform against polaris. I still don’t see any atvs that do that yet. No thousand cc engines in them or better suspension to compete with the sportsman. No 4x4 with a locker just this I 4x4junk I would love a 1000 cc with a semi automatic foot shift. And this talon needs improved suspension in the rear still bounces around to much and kick the turbo and just add a super charger to it all ready don’t for get the locker this time because no one likes to hit the rev litmeter trying to get the I 4x4 to do a Little Rock crawling!

A 50 inch version of the Talon, with a single seat setup similar to what the old Pilot / Odyssey was or definitely a 2-seater? Personally, I'd like to see both lol! As the 50" segment really hasn't been tapped into like it should be as the possibilities are endless with what they could do. I'd love to see the sales numbers from Polaris and see how their RS1 stacks up against the rest of the model lineup.
