I think you could've killed that sub. Oddly enough, Nevsky has bow-launched depth charges.

Heavy and Light cruisers where created by arms limitation treaty between the UK, USA, France, Japan and Italy. They don't apply to anyone else and only exist till end of 1939. A light cruiser is a ship of no more than 10,000 tonnes with guns of a maximum of 155mm (6.1 inch), A heavy cruiser is the same apart from guns have a maximum of 203mm (8 inch). So if you build a ship with Nevsky guns its a heavy cruiser. Basically all the late game heavy and light cruisers in game are just cruisers. Heavy and light only apply to about tier 7.

IMO the Nevski is "predictably OP"

Nevsky is definately my fav cruiser, totally riddled with power creep, heavy cruiser armed with overtuned light cruiser guns, decent torpedo tubes, hydro, radar, decent speed, good concealment. Has one downside and that's the turning circle, which isn't an issue if you're playing the ship right.Classic WG balancing.

Second to the Petro, especially with the ballistic upgrade for the shells, and a reload build which reduces the reload. It wont give you rapid fire, but I got my Petro firing as quick as Henri IV

Siegfried did honk at you, so that crash near the beginning of the battle was your fault Flambo, just saying. Also, THAT didn't cost you the HP, you were sailing in a straight line into the shells.

Petro has better AP. Nevsky shoots faster. Petro is tankier. Nevsky is a bit more nimble. Both good. Petro perhaps slightly easier to play.

you have to be able to acknowledge what kind of player you are: people with a 45-55% winrate are better off in a petro as its more forgiving to mistakes, Nevsky shines when played by a 55% + player

​@@Pilvenuga 45% potatoes in Petro overextend and die without any influence to game. The only type of mistake it can forgive - sailing broadside, since petro actually has citadel, at least mine does. Nevsky, on the other hand, is ultimate kite machine which can be handled by a crippled monkey. Also, gun-performance wise, Petro guns aren't consistent in any means in terms of accuracy, I'm playing with legmod and most time dispersion is utter shit. And Nevsky's are just great, with relatively fast shells and flat arcs.

It seems that WG has ruined the game. It is no longer as fun as it used to be. I haven't played in about two years myself (a few months after subs came out). I remember when Flambass used to laugh and laugh and scream and laugh and say, "War Gaming, pls never change, I love this game". That was about 2018-2020 -ish. But he is still arguably the best player in the game.....in the world! (IMO)

At least they don't have a Russian Yamato in the game yet.
