Thanks for the timestamps and all. They were great. I was standing near the guy filming so my vantage point to the stage was the same. I spent most of Overkill's set chatting it up with Warrell backstage (I went with a friend of mine who had connections to the Mercyful Fate people so i was reluctantly allowed back there). MF came on at like 1:30am and by that point I just wanted to go home. Fun night, tho.

one of the greatest albums ever created, even though its about dark sides of life.Only Warrel can describe death, depression, solitude, etc... and say it so poetic-ly beautiful. Using words like beautiful to describe Death might sound insane but its the perfect word in this situation. His lyrics are like a puzzle that have so much meaning. RIP Our Heroes!

So much tragedy in this band! Nevermore was such an amazing band and Dreaming Neon Black is still one of my best album of all time. I saw them at the the Foufounes Électriques in 2001 after DHIADW was released, it was one of the craziest show I've ever seen with so much metalheads going on stage to sing, headbang and jump in the crowd. Those where the days !

They were the best band that night. Overkill was added last minute to the show and they seemed peeved about not headlining and they were better months earlier at FouFounes Électriques. Fate came onstage way too late after soundchecking forever, as good as they were, the energy was gone.

I can tell you Warrell was FURIOUS about that in the back when I talked to him. It was Mercyful Fate's camp that was very anti-anyone jumping onstage and stuff. Some guy made an announcement right before Fate started that should anyone jump onstage or anything, the show would end.
