This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection kzread.infoUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
My god I did not see that coming!!! Glad I stuck around till the end holy cow. Amazing!!!
Awesome! It looks more like a piece of art. I've never seen a big glue-up done like that before, maybe 4 or 5 pieces at a time. But never the whole layout of that size. Kudos on a job well done.
Gorgeous execution of a brilliant idea! I was really glad that you left the plywood “edges” exposed and did not paint the chair. Years ago I followed Jeremy Broun and his wonderful outlook on building with plywood and leaving the edge exposed, highlighting the beauty of the layers as a design element. Thank you for sharing!

Agreed. Now, it does take a nice piece of A-A grade, veneer core, cabinet plywood to do it, but it's obviously worth the effort.
You kept me guessing through most of this video. It is an outstanding piece of art from plywood scraps. Keep up the great work, love your videos.

You had me guessing right to the end. What a lovely piece of furniture you made. If someone told me that the chair or stool was made out of plywood I would never have believed them. It is beautiful . I love your videos.
The first time I have seen a KZread video that I engaged with from the start until the end. Lovely looking seat. Great, practical and no-nonsense. Love it.
This kind of video reminds me of my Dad. He could fix anything. Make everything. And waste nothing. He’s the reason I build things today. Perfect video my friend.
Well, what to say? I've been watching your channel and even though I am not a carpenter or any kind of woodworker I am quite mesmerised with your work. Your ideas are incredibly practical and whenever I need to relax or to recharge my batteries during my work I watch your channel as most inspiring and most relaxing. I am a lawyer and sometimes I get stuck and my taught blocked than I watch you doing miracles and it takes me over so much that after watching your video I am fully recharged and ready to strain my brain even further. Thank you for such innovative and efficient way to relax me beyond believable. Take care and stay safe.

This t.co/oLg9l5gL3F is an amazing book about wood working. I took several classes and completed a one year diploma in carpentry at a local tech college; this is better than any book I worked out of during those courses. It includes useful photos and goes over almost everything.
I am seriously impressed. I love it when people make use of stuff they would normally throw out. I relate. thank you

As a beginner of woodworking, this to me is absolutely beautiful and very nice craftsmanship. Thank you. Inspiring stuff and I will progress from a beginner. Thank you for sharing.
I had this brief moment where I thought "wouldn't you want the glue on the sides so it holds better?" and then I saw him flip them on their sides... I'm probably the only one who would have tried to glue each one while they were on their sides :P

amazing!!! such a beautiful chair. Longer legs and what an amazing folding chair for holidays at home that could store away easily!
Sometimes people that don't regularly work with wood don't understand how expensive wood can be and why we keep the excess pieces. Great use of the scraps and very intelligent design.
My mother saw a gardening bench that if it stands up, its a bench, if you flip it over, its a kneeling pad with arm supports to help you up. She was gonna buy it. My stepfather said dont bother, he would make her one. A day and a half later he presented his newest design made all out of wood scraps. Never underestimate a thrifty person's ability to be crafty.
I figured out it was a chair of some sort early on; however, the size of it surprised me! I bet the kids loved it!

Incredible amount of work to use scraps , and the plywood you are using is high quality birch most people don't have access to. A fun project to waste time with and some cool design ideas but much quicker to start with a sheet of ply. Thanks for sharing.
You are an artist! Making beautiful things out of scrap and your imagination. Loved it...
Really fantastic work, dude! Nicely done!!! 😃 But if I could give you a tip, you would have much more views if you put in the title what you build in the end of the video. Because if I search for "foldable chair build", for example, on KZread... Your video wouldn't show up. You know? Anyway, stay safe there with your family! And enjoy! 🖖😊

Beautiful furniture from scraps. I made some plywood kitchen cabinets that turned out pretty decent. Wish I had the guts to upload a video of it. Glad to see your clever ways of thinking are being appreciated by everyone. Bravo , great job !!!
Fantastic work. It's always nice to see a skilled wood worker using a riving knife and respecting the table saw. I saw a lot of safety in your video. If more experienced and skilled youtube creators (like you) showed that level of safety and respect, fewer beginner wood workers (like me) would for bad habits. I don't have a table saw yet, but I am concerned with safety in a major way. Kudos!

@@michaelcarroll991 A really nice build but I think it would fall back with an adult's weight.
@johnhendy1281

I'm not so sure. Watch it open a few times. The part that becomes the front legs or the part that becomes the back legs have to move apart from each other for it to fold flat. When he raises it, you can see the front leg portion drag in the sand, moving closer to the back legs in order to fold into a chair. Once sitting, those are both near vertical and have weight on them. If you learned back, either the front legs would have to slide forward, or the whole back (where most of the weight is) would have to slide back to pivot. Neither of those will want to happen as the legs are dug in. Now, if you set this up on ice, I think what we're all wondering would happen, but not with friction at play.
@twotone3070
4 жыл бұрын
I watched it again and it's the friction against the surface it is placed on that prevents it from closing, very clever indeed.
So many of these, I never know what it will be until he's done. Amazing work.
Excellent idea!! Had me wondering how this would work till the end!!

Beautiful! I don’t have all the tools to make your projects but wow, great job!
The moment the kids enjoyed sitting in the chair has justified your innovative hard work. Thank you for posting
I very recently saw this exact same chair layout here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/d4eIuq5vm9OwfLg.html While they used better, more beautiful wood, I found your use of hardware interesting and wasn't a fan of the latch hook method they used. The hardware you put in seems smarter.
Haters comments: This video sucks it didnt teach me how to instantly be a wood craftsman. Haters thinking: Damn I'd pay 75 bucks for that.
Pretty cool .. I like the fast motion (just the right speed). I kept wondering 'What is he making?' Such a neat idea .. love the patterns produced by cutting the plywood.
That was so awesome. You are very clever, and your kids be loving their own chair, made by dad.👍
Your preview images have absolutely nothing to do with the projects that you're making. Very click-baity.
Fantastic! I enjoyed this story...twas the best I've seen in wood working!

I love how you just seem to suddenly have an idea and get to it . I imagine a little more planning went into it, or at least some experience, lol.
That was really quite cool. I could use different off cuts and random bits of timber and use the tools I have (not like your workshop gear) and make something similar. Thanks for sharing the idea.
