I'm seeing a lot of comments like yours- This is a comedy routine. He actually may have grown up a "nerd" or "geek" or "loser", but he is exaggerating the look and personality to use as part of his act. He is playing a character, and has jokes that fit the character. Just explaining because there must be something lost in translation.. I assume English is not your first language?
