Have you fasted and prayed for 21 days or 40 days and nights with only water? Fasting and prayer is a command from God. Not if you fast when you fast. I have completed several 21 days. Still moving towards the 40 days and 40 nights of prayer and fasting. It changed my marriage for the better. This is my testimony. Glory to God. 16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:16-18

@@firesign4297 Thank you for your kind words firesign4297. Fasting and prayer was such a wonderful experience for me and my family. It truly was life changing. It changed so many areas in my life. I truly didn’t have any teaching about fasting and prayer until I listened to the teachings Dr. Myles Munroe. Now I teach and study exhaustively about pray and fasting. It is an absolutely amazing area connected to spiritual, psychological, physical, emotional, and social health/life. My personal walk with The Lord in that season of prayer and fasting allowed spiritual strong hold in my life to be forever broken. Please understand I accepted Christ at the age of seven and I also believe in being filled with The Holy Spirit. I was doing my best to live a Christian life. But there was a lot of failure in my walk. But in 2016 that season of prayer and fasting was a season with God. Some of the highlights are the following: one all my physical health issues went away; I no longer need surgery and I no longer need medication to live a normal abundant kingdom life; I lost 34 lbs / 15 kg in, 21 days; emotionally I was no longer angry nor did I harbor stress; I had a true peace about me; I had a greater communion with The Lord; I could hear His Voice like when I was a child; various addictions were broken in my life that I was never able to break; I went “cold turkey”and had zero desire in these addictive strong hold areas; and lastly my wife character’s completely changed 180. She was my loving and happy wife. This is my story about prayer and fasting. Glory be to God because only God could change the heart/mind of my wife and me!!! I usually fast every week. I live a fasted life style and I will continue to live this way. So I will never go back to the way I used to live. Thank you Eric Thomas for your words of wisdom.

My goodness I needed that ET.. I have been looking back without prayer for discipline to go forward! I moved my family to TX for my kids to have better and God is moving in their lives but I still look back questioning his direction for me.. my son is a college student on scholarship, my wife is in a better place spiritually, my daughters are growing in happiness and spiritual growth but I have to be disciplined to go forward and be thankful.. 🙏🏾
