Never Duff Another Chip Ever Again

Never Duff Another Chip Ever Again
This is the best chipping lesson on KZread. Why is it the best? Tiger Woods, Scottie Scheffler, Rory Mcllroy, Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood (Team TaylorMade), and Golf Secrets combine forces to show you all of the secrets of the edge leading chip that is used on tour around the world. The best part is anyone can do this chip (from age 4 - 84), because the Fundamentals are extremely simple and they are not physically demanding on the body. The body weight on the lead foot, hands forward of the ball location at address, standing close to the ball so the toe of the clubhead is down and the heel is up, gripping down with light grip pressure so you feel the weight of the clubhead, and finally make a simple tension free putting stroke with the wrists locked. Don't forget a ball position off the trail foot is for a low runner and off the lead foot for more loft. The biggest secret is to Introduce wrist cock/hinge at 50 yards (or closer if you lack flexability, power or both (senior golfers this means you). These are all simple fundamentals to preform. However, THE HARD PART IS remembering it all under pressure or with too much time in-between playing.
Here is the cold hard truth: If you want to improve your chipping, your going to have to put in the time and dedication to make these fundamentals become one. Second nature... like walking. You don't think about walking do you? No, you do it on a daily basis (the hard part was learned daily as a toddler). These Chipping fundamentals are easily overlooked if not grooved into your subconsious mind. So how do you do it? Easy. Practice daily. Just a few minutes a day working on the fundamentals will improve your chipping drasticly on the course. The real secret to improving is to practice slow and controlled untill your subconcious mind takes over and you no longer have to think about the fundamentals. I personally like the second half of this video because its perfect to rewatch daily while working on your chip. If you want to improve faster, get a mirror in your backyard and compare what you are doing to what team TaylorMade is doing. I personally think Tommy Fleetwood has the best chipping stroke in this chipping lesson. However, Tiger's hands through impact are just so darn smooth and tension free.... hard to choose.
If you have any questions while watching this chipping lesson or while at the range chipping, just ask it in the comments and I'll help you the best I can. The quest to never duff another chip shot ever again... ends here and now. So grab some popcorn, a beer, and Enjoy! Cheers.

Have always been taught to play the ball in center of stance. Who could ever argue with Tiger. A new try.

34 Dawgs, give it a go and report back with your results. It will give you a lower flighted chip, but it will also ensure your hands are in front of the golf ball at address (which is the most overlooked fundamental in this method of chipping). 🍻
