I think the idea is to grow spring onion leaves faster than from seed. Anyway, I tried it and it works, albeit a bit slower here in an English greenhouse. What I'd like to find out is whether there will be a second harvest and whether this will work over winter. Spring onions are expensive so this is a good idea.

You don't have to put much onion's but it'll give you spring onion's...beside of this you can also get seeds from this one onion and than sow it❤

Many comments I can do no(1) you have not explain what type of soil you used on veg waste? (2) You haven't explain how you made liquid fertilizer. Lastly I couldn't understand a plant lover leaving so many things to grow, but only for green onion so much labour costs of onion, fertilizer etc etc why we be interested?

We do a similar method and I feel certain he is using a phosphorus granule like triple phosphate. He filtered it so the granules that didnt melt down in the slurry wont burn the onions when poured in as liquid fertilizer. It sometimes will stay hard like triple 8 or triple 10 will when it gets damp in a bag.

You are missing the point,out of one onion he gets six or more plants look in the middle section of the onion and see how many buds it has.

Best Soil Mixture for everything 60% garden soil 20% vermicompost or Cow dung manure 10% coco peat 10% Sand + Add - Mustard Cake powder, bone meal powder, neem cake powder and lime powder for super growth

Not everyone can do this though. Some people will garden, others think it is a waste of time and a lot of work. This is only for some of us, at least we know our food doesn't have toxic chemicals sprayed on it.
