Go to the grocery store and buy a pack of ' green onions ' and then when you eat them cut off the green part and replant the bottom white part . They will regrow new green stems at which point all you do is cut the green stems off again and regrow them again . They are never ending unless you live in a cold climate , grow these all spring , summer and autumn .

Mine survived the winter. I planted them on the ground and the green and whites parts are very thick and tall. They just gotten bigger and bigger. The white part is the width of my 4:46 . It seems the more space they have the larger they grow.

Or you could simply just cut the tops and leave the rest in the ground to regrow.

Hello. Well assuming You are going to grow outdoors, yes. Indoors, if You can control Your watering properly, no. But outdoors, when it rains too much and the water can't get out, it will create a mud and roots will die. Thank You for watching 🙂

  • @Liap

Hello, that depends on how well-draining soil mix is in that pot. If it becomes soggy, seedsmay rot. If You have this option, cover them from rain. At least until they sprout.

This variety doesn’t grow significant bulbs, but there are other varieties of spring onions that does, if the space allows them to. And yes you can grow these “bulby” spring onions in containers too.

Well, they are recommended. Unless You can water them just right amount, not to make the water sit at the bottom. It will cause roots to rot.
