Networking Week: Understanding and Implementing Spanning-Tree Protocol
One of the core technologies for CCIE, CCNP, or even CCNA is the Spanning Tree Protocol. The Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is a network protocol that builds a loop-free logical topology for Ethernet networks. The basic function of STP is to prevent bridge loops and the broadcast radiation that results from them. Are you staying awake at night worried that you don’t know what “STP” is? Do you want to know how STP prevents loops in your network? Do you have an hour or two to spare? Don’t worry, INE has you covered. In this webinar you’ll be exposed to some of the more common terms used in STP to prevent loops. You will learn how STP prevents loops and how to configure and optimize STP to achieve a loop-free environment.
The best way to become an expert, is to learn from one. INE continues to advance that philosophy, applying it to the digital age, and cultivating tomorrow’s leaders. Be part of a process that has worked for centuries. Find your path today: ine.com/pages/networking

Thanks for taking the time to provide this information. Really appreciate you share your knowledge on the topic
Fantastic explanation. have been struggling with these concepts especially MST, but you cleared up the misconception. Thank you.
Probably the best explanation of STP I've ever heard..Thanks alot Rohit..
Learned something new. Thank you so much 👍
Hats Off, Gr8 Explained
One of the best stp session.
Gracias for making this subject look easy
Thank you Mr Rohith
You are the best Rohit
Appreciate this simplification
awesome explaination
Very fantastic explanation Rohit !! Expecting some major concepts of BPDU guard,BPDU filter and Root guard concepts ....
Where were you all this time?! Thanks for such a detailed yet simplified explanation. No dis-like so far says a lot about the video content.
fantastic
👍
Hi please can you check election of root port of switch 6 again
Why would Root Bridge (SW1) advertises Cost 0 to switch 2 in your 4 switch diagram at time 30:30 just pause and Rohit says that advertise cost is 0 from Switch 1 Since we are considering all Ethernet meaning cost is 100

yes, because it cost the root bridge 0 to reach him self (Root bridge),
As always, Rohit is the one. As we say in Brazil, Rohit é pica !!! Amazing.
bad mic. sounds like you're only using a laptop's webcam. this doesn't look like an official INETraining video. other than that, great tutuorial! thanks!
