In this match, Folie proved herself that she is still the best middle blocker in Italy. She might not have the height advantage but her attack and block skill are way better than Chiricella and Danesi~

@David Bovo Bosetti è ottima in ricezione ma in attacco non è forte come Pietrini e Sylla e anche se per il momento loro hanno qualche problemino in difesa però hanno un margine di miglioramento molto alto visto che Sylla ha 24 anni e Pietrini solo 19 anni rispetto a Bosetti che ne ha 30 ormai.Soprattutto Pietrini se fa un pò di esperienza quest'anno giocando anche nel campionato con lo Scandicci fra non molto tempo diventerà fortissima nel suo ruolo.

Am a Netherlands fan whenever they play against most teams save for the USA, but Italy did well. I hate that Plak's not getting starting time despite being perhaps the most powerful spiker on the team. Paula Egonu though...she's just on another level. I know she has more time to load up for the attack unlike other hitters because she's not involved in the serve-receive but still her performance is amazing. If the other hitters up their game, coupled with de Gennaro's great defensive ability and Malinov's consistent setting, I feel that they can make it far in Tokyo 2020.

@David BovoI know Sylla's had a few issues the past 2 years but compared to 2015 when I 1st saw her at the FIVB World Grand prix, I'd say she's slacked off a bit despite playing for a top European club like Imoco Volley. Currently for me Bosetti is top pick for OH on the national team. I haven't seen much of Pietrini but will keep an eye out for her next club season

Such a shame that there are so few spaces for european teams at the olympics and there are spaces for weak continents. I mean: - north america= only usa strong - south america= only brazil strong -africa= no strong teams - asia= only china and japan(already qualif)

In north America there is still dominican republic while in Asia thailand and Korea in south America argentina is getting QUITE strong too

Olympics is just being fair here. They open slots for everyone so that the ‘weak’ countries can train and challenge those whose strong. And not because they’re weak doesn’t mean they cannot improve.

Lueween • i completely disagree. There are other ways to improve. The olympics are not a gym to train, there should go only the best teams of the World. I’ll make an example for you to undersand: it makes no sense at all a match between Serbia and Kenia. Kenia is gonna get simply destroyed and will lose all the sets 25-10 or something like that. Will this match help team kenia to improve? No. I understand that playing against stronger teams help you to grow but when the difference is HUGE no, they wont even understand what’s happening on court...

@@Matt.98 you didn’t got my point. What I’m trying to say is that the Olympics is trying to give everyone the chance to qualify for the Olympics. And when you know that you got an opportunity to play for the Olympics, you have to train hard to be qualified. I don’t know why it is ‘such a shame that there are so few spaces for european teams at the olympics and there are spaces got weak continents’ when the Olympics is just making the world a fairer place for sports. And if those European teams are really strong, they should’ve won at the first place. So in short, they need to train more to be qualified for the Olympics. Simple as that.

So the powerhouses made it to Tokyo: USA, Brazil, Serbia, Italy, and China. I'm not convinced with Russia, if they were in a different qualifying pool they will not make. Anyway, I am expecting Netherlands and Poland to qualify also through European qualifiers and World qualifiers. For Asian team, South Korea and Thailand are the only ones who are going to slug it out. SK will have the advantage.

Although USA is a powerhouse, their performance was a little bit rusty since they have a home advantage. Maybe because there are new players and the chemistry is not totally solid yet.

Russians were lucky to qualify, otherwise they wouldn’t have not qualified at the Euro Continental with only one spot at stake. That qualifier will be fierce between Poland and The Netherlands, maybe Bulgaria could sneak in.

Did you watch the 2 games? Folie is better than DANESI. Anna is too slow while folie is quicker,stronger and more technical than her..

Triplete is coming for Italy: European Championship , Olympic games, World Championship.

Serbia

The European qualifiers will be really interesting. We will have the netherlands, Poland and Belgium as main contestants for that last European ticket to Tokyo. In North America the ticket will most certainly be disputed between Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. For Asia it will probably be a fight between South Korea and Thailand. Africa to me is a big question mark, not sure but should be between Kenya and Cameroon.

I saw the match and it is true what you are saying. Netherlands is a strong team. I remember all the times they defeated Italy. I think they would deserve to be at olympic games but the qualification's formula penalizes european teams. In January they have to defeat poland, turkey and five other teams (only one team gets the olympic qualification)

@@yournightmare2317 last 5 tickets for Tokyo 2020 will be disputated in January 2020 through 5 continental tournaments (Norceca, SouthAmerica, Africa, Asia and Europe). European one will be the hardest with at least 3 good teams (Netherlands, Turkey and Poland...plus Germany, Belgium, Azerbaijan) for one ticket
