Netherlands prepares for right-wing government after Wilders strikes deal
The Netherlands is set for a right-wing government after Dutch nationalist Geert Wilders struck a deal with three other parties to cobble together a coalition of sorts.
It comes almost six months after Mr Wilders party won a major election victory.
Sky News host Liz Storer has discussed the recent win for the Dutch nationalist.

New people who arrived here had the right to get a rental appartment or house first (the average waiting list for the Dutch is 10 years. 32 year olds REALLY want to move out their parents homes to start a family, but can't). But now it's forbidden to give them priority. They don't have the right anymore to appeal after a decision, which could take years before The rights they had are slowly being reduced Border Patrol becomes much stronger People who were declared illegal and making our streets unsafe are going to be deported They are going to read text messages in their phones to see if they are really fleeing (if so, they are most welcome!) They have to prove much more than now that they are fleeing. In doubt, they are going to be deported to another country
I come from the Netherlands and we are proud of the new cabinet. We had enough of mass immigration, Islamization , climate hysteria, nitrogen madness, proxy war in Ukraine, driving away the farmers and the Lhbtq obsession. The Dutchman has had enough of coming in second place.

Last Polls in the Netherlands show that with new elections, PVV could win 52 seats in parlement, you need 76 for a majority. People now see that there is nothing wrong with voting for Wilders, so more people are coming out.

As a Dutch man, it feels great to see people from other countries congratulating us. I really hope I can be proud of my country again with this new formation. They still have a lot to prove and come through on, but this is absolutely a win for normal people that are fed up with the BS we've had to swallow for like a decade now from the left. A year ago, no one was willing to admit they supported Wilders. Now, everyone proudly shouts it from the rooftops. We thought we were outnumbered but we're many, and now we know. Now, we are united. Now, we can bring change, and that change, ironically, is getting back to the way things were before all this modern nonsense became normalized. On june 6th, we're all voting for Wilders again in the EU elections because our problems are largely due to EU policies. I don't want my country te exit the EU, but I think we should do everything we can to change their policies. For that though, we need help, so I urge for all other European countries to vote for the parties that can bring change like our own Wilders can. Challenge left ideologies that are screwing up our western society. It used to be nice and quiet in Europe. We had peace and we need to do everything in our power to gp back to that, and maybe inspire other countries as well. The violence all over the world is horrible and needs to stop. In order to do that, we need people in power that are capable of ending it. Not those that fuel it. We're dangerously close to WW3 and we, as a people, need to do everything we can to stop it. As a Dutchman, this is a victory for our country. Native Dutch people are forced to suffer financially under pressure from Brussels and have to stand at the back of the queue for everything. Our country has nothing against war refugees, but our hard-earned tax money is now mainly paid out to paradise seekers from safe countries who have no business or contribute anything here, but do receive free money, free housing and free child benefits. I'm from the Netherlands: can anyone explain why the presentor was so surprised (outraged) that Wilders didn't get everything he wanted. He has 25% of seats in parliament (37 seats) The other three rightwing party have a combined number of 51 seats. Of course they have their own demands. Why would they join a coalition if they couldn't implement part of their own manifesto.

She lives in a country where coalition governments are a rare phenomenon. So forming a coalition means every party needs to give in otherwise there will be no coalition government. And the biggest party has to give in the most, the smaller parties will sell their party for a high price knowing they are a junior party in the coalition. And junior parties won’t get the important ministries otherwise. In a two party system this problem doesn’t occur.

This isn't 'right-wing', it's just sensible centrism.
If the Netherlands can take a strong stance on immigration and deportations, why can't the UK? We're not even in the EU.
The biggest win for Geert is that he will finally stop the worst law my country had to endure, namely that asylum seekers had priority for housing over regular citizens. I'm 29 now, but i had to be on a 10 year waiting list for a home (starting at 18), because any house that got available went to asylum seekers (followed by pregnant single moms). 10 year waiting lists are still the norm now, which i think my friends down under can relate too

Am from The Netherlands. I have good hope for the new government, our country has nearly been destroyed, the main job is to repair the damage. Two of the coalition parties are very new parties, one is about a new way of governance and the other is for the farmers. His party has not governed before so we have 3 first timers. I am really looking forward seeing what they can achieve.

As a Dutch person, I can say I am thrilled about what is to come. Actually feel hope since a long time ago. His first speech presentation, with the other 3 governing parties was actually really good and although all openly spoke about their own party differences and identity, they still seemed all to look working with each other. It actually felt real for politics sake.
The presenter misinterpreted the election here. Wilders softened his stances a bit while the incoming leader of the main governing party stopped the cordon sanitaire of him. That is what resulted in a doubling of the seats in the last week and a half before the election. So softening up helped getting it done with the electorate for this election. Next up: fighting the antidemocratic, unelected bureaucrat crap in EU and Dutch government.

Oh yeah, the country really needed a right leaning government since being left wing basically never in our past. The same people who have allowed parties like VVD screw up so much now pretend that VVD is a left wing party and that they were not responsible for helping them to power. Oh come on. If anything this country needs a classical labour breeze in order not to end up miserable corporate capitalist hell holes like most of the anglosphere.
It's a shame the politicians who created all the problems won't allow the man to actually be PM as per tradition, but to respect the true desire of a plurality of voters would apparently still be too much to ask. The patriots truly have to fight for every inch.

@@MrWhatyousee no that was Pieter Omtzigt from NSC. Wilders seemingly wants nothing more than to be pm, eventhough he knows very well he isn't qualified for it at all.

@@MrWhatyousee All I heard was that after his win, and as a compromise to all those parties refusing to serve in a government he led, he was willing to stand back from becoming PM to enable a coalition to be formed to govern.
Wow. Those crooked politicians finally respect the will of the people!

Impressive? As Dutch voter i will hold my judgement till the next elections. He already had to drop/lessen 2 promises he campaigned upon in order to get the other parties to try to make a government. 1) no increase of minimum wages 2) No subsidies to the public broadcoaster seen as left, turned into a reduction of 100 million euro's from 900 million total to 800 million. And now we have to wait what he can deliver if not populists in the Netherlands can lose a lot of voters if they are displeased with the results they will pick one of the other dozen or so parties who are on the ballot next time. Results from the voting showing rises and falls in the 10% range sometimes.

For the international views on the Netherlands, they should have found a way to keep Geert Wilders in as Prime Minister, he was voted in by a majority. Now true, I do not understand Dutch politics. But I do understand what will be accepted by other nations. Let's hope whoever represents the Netherlands in the world, will have a clear message and a backbone. Will be watching...
At least there is something good in the news today.

The Netherlands does not want the quran, mosques and islam banned. Most people voted strategically, which means they vote for a party that is the most similar to the party which they would actually vote for, so they dont vote for a very small party. Thats also why Geert Wilders one, so not because people want extremely strict migration laws or the islam banned.
