Does it have a 4G modem in it that accepts a SIM card for use with a 4G data plan? 2) It looks like you have GPS turn-by-turn working while watching a video. Is it possible to watch/browse KZread while the GPS runs in the background, giving turn-by-turn directions when KZread is focused? Can you easily swap between a KZread video and Maps/Waze to view the current navigation?

You can find old Android phone that can work with AndroidAuto or MirrorLink, root it and hope that it will work. Depends how cheap you can get it, how good are you at modding system and how long will the used phone last.

It works independent from the phone, so no - there's no FaceTime option.

@@mrfixpl yeah thats what i'm thinking as it will be a "custom" rom designed for the device, and could reflash it but likly lose function, and a cool toy but being android 7 (nougat) its lifespan for compatible apps is starting to get a bit short, Never the less i will pick one up on my travels

I don't have access to a CarPlay capable car that's not equipped with OEM GPS. And all cars that I've tested it with (VW, Ford, Citroen) were sharing the GPS data with the device so there was no need to install the additional GPS module in those cars.

Coding is step4. 1: Installing hardware 2: Removing component protection 3: Installing FeC/SWaP codes 4: Coding for car specific options You can get pre-activated units (patched/hacked) to skip step 2 and 3. Usually can be partially coded for your vehicle as well.

1. Yes. Works while driving. 2. Yes. Can play offline media from USB without internet connection. 3. Yes. Works without phone. It's a stand-alone, independent device. 4. Tested in 2019 Citroen and it worked. If your car has CarPlay, then it should work.

Nice review. I've had dealings with the company that provide this device. On Aliexpress. They are very helpful and reply quickly to messages. How did you connect the game controller to the device and what type of controller did you use, was it plug and play or did you have to do any modifications to make the controller work?

Have you noticed any lag playing music going from one track to another? Have you noticed any lag while watching youtube videos or buffering? Have you tested the QM8888 device, if you have, how do you compare it to CP-600, and what version of android did you have on CP-600?

Is there an online thread somewhere about this? Like in vortex or golfmk7? This looks amazing, and I might wanna do this. (If only I didn't have a 2015 golf.)

You need to provide internet connection to it. Create HotSpot on your phone or use 3G USB modem.

Sorry, no. The only requirement is enabled CarPlay. And since MIB1 does not support CarPlay...

Have not tried but I don't think so. There will not be enough amps in the USB outlet to power there two devices at the same time.

Ask your dealer about part number 5G0 054 830A. And tell them that they need to read self study program documents if they want to continue to service VW/Audi/Skoda cars.

Do you now always use this instead of your phone? I think it would be pretty cool just to have all these apps available without needing to plugin iPhone every time I get in car. Bonus if Plex works on this device (probably need to download from Google Play Store -- have you tested Plex?).

Not always. I have it in my armrest and I plug it in when I want to use it. I have short commute but from time to time I'm stuck in my car for longer period of time (like when my 1yo falls asleep and I don't want to take pick him up afraid that he's going to wake up). Not tested Plex yet, but I think that it will work just fine like the rest of media players.

In my car you need to pair your phone with new device. Car will not keep BT connection if CarPlay is active.

One issue .. In Most countries playing Video's etc. on media unit in view of driver whilst driving/moving is illegal ... end up being fined etc.

You are mixing things up. To use this device your car needs to have CarPlay enabled in the first place. There's a lot of limitations for app that can be used over CarPlay (can't watch videos, can't type with onscreen keyboard...) but all of those limitations are in the iPhone software. So if you replace your iPhone with this device you can have access to Android system without the limitations above.

Hey buddy, i have the same box but with 4gb ram. you can actually connect it to a OBD adapter. i made it work. i bought a small bluetooth usb adapter from the brand TRUST. and plugged it into the box usb front. then on the box i installed another android launcher. called Adwlauncher2 or something. from here i could access the full android setting including bluetooth, where i could enable it and connect to the obd adapter. but now that i can see that you can open the android setting nativly from the box with voice command, maybe then its ok, wihtout installing another launcher. i will test it later. do you also suffer from a very small audio/video desync. in video streaming such as, youtube, netflix, moviebox. etc? i tested mine on another car with " glass " headunit, there no desync at all. but on my car, hyundai ioniq EV , 8" headunit, i do have that small problem. 2. can you explain how you connected your controller for gaming? thanx

1. Haven't experiences A/V desync. Maybe it's your cars audio processor that needs to buffer the stream a little bit cause the issue? 2. It's a cheap USB gaming controller. I believe that it's recognized as a keyboard.

try to tap and swipe (double tap but don't release the second tap, just slide you finder up/down).

Kupiłem to cacko przez Ciebie :) działało i już nie działa, ale wybaczam każdy kupuje na Swoją odpowiedzialność ale może masz instrukcję żeby wrzucić na neta bo znaleźć nie mogę. :)

Nie miałem okazji, ale może się okazać, że lepszym rozwiązaniem będzie zastąpienie RNS-D przez coś na Androidzie. Tak jak nie przepadam za androidem, to jednak RNS-D ma już swoje lata i swoje ograniczenia. Łatwiej będzie wymienić na coś nowszego.

Jaki jest koszt zamontowania tęgiego urządzenie z twojej strony ?

Tu nie ma co montować. Wyciągasz z pudełka, podpinasz pod USB i działa.

@@mrfixpl Okey dziękuje za i formacje, trzeba mieć coś w radio odblokowane czy powinno działać, jak próbowałem połączyć telefon to niestety się nie udawało

Musi działać CarPlay.

All videos play during car moving ?? Because my car ( mg hs) when it move , videos in my flasha not work because safety . Please feed me back because I want to buy this device

There's no video-in-motion lock. All videos are visible while driving.

Hi, i have basically the same car with built in GPS. But Mine doesn't Work. Does anyone have an Firmware Update? Mine came with Android 7. I saw that there some cp600 boxes with Android 9.

Does your iPhone connects with the car over CarPlay without any issue?

@@mrfixpl Yes, no Problem at all. I also have used AndroidAuto without any issues. I connected the box over my built WiFi Hotspot from the Car. Mine only has the bigger Screen than yours.

Does it works with pioneer radios?

It should if the radio supports CarPlay.
