Term limits, whether a legitimate vote was taken, and the actual policies of the rulers, are 3 totally separate factors that help us determine whether something is a democracy or an autocracy. Any leader that seeks to entrench themselves for life is considered pretty undemocratic in common understanding, regardless of the other 2 factors.

The interview was too soft. When Netanyahu asked if it would be appropriate for the Israelis to tell the American people that the need new elections right after 9/11 when the war in Afghanistan was beginnig. I would have replied : "Israel is not supplying America with military assistance. Let me rephrase the question : do you think that America has the obligation to provide military assistance to your country if the American people believe that our military assistance is used for wrongdoing?"
