I'll start by saying Nessa put on a wonderful concert and her fans were engaged and singing throughout the show. But the bright white and pitch dark lighting scheme made recording well-focused video difficult (since I use a phone cam vs. one with better lens controls). That said, I hope you can work through the sometimes blurred video (or shaking from the drum reverberations) and enjoy the music, while also getting a feel for what her performances are like. If you enjoy her music, she's definitely worth going to see.
This song is heartfelt and she was understandably emotional. This is for her "angel," as she refers to him, Cooper Noriega, who died June 9, 2022, at the young age of 19. A TikTok star in his own right, he suffered from psychological challenges that are far too common among young people (including anxiety) and far too common among artists, in general. He had a bad mix of drugs in his system and his death was ruled an accidental overdose.
I think Nessa will always have a hole in her heart from Cooper leaving this planet at far too young an age. This song is just one way for her to keep his memory alive.
