I had the same issue and also found that if you make the edges of the capsule flat it won’t leak. Nespresso will not help. So my best result was to make every pod edge flat when they arrive and that’s it.

Had an issue with machine. Watched this video amongst others. This one has fixed the watery flow, now working perfectly. Used a toothbrush to brush the pod gripper and pulledup the pod cup. Cheers.

Thank you!! This solved the problem. It’s definitely an engineering flaw. You just have to remember to tug on the pod holder every time. If you don’t, it will leak 100% of the time.

After cleaning the machine extensively, it still would leak. I popped up the grey pod holder and u can hear a click. Then I saw this video and pulled the grey pod holder, I ran the machine and it leaked a tiny bit compared to before. I did it again and the click was more intense, then I ran the machine again and no leaks. I will do this a few times to be sure. If it has a spring under the grey pod holder, maybe it’s rusted out or defective and doesn’t allow the pod holder to pop back up properly. Idk for sure but this video helped me. I will update if it does not work after a few more tries. UPDATE: it leaked slightly again. SO I tried flateni g the edges of the pods like someone else suggested and so far that has worked. If it continues to work like, then maybe the pods are not setting evenly in the pod holder. Could be cause it’s thin aluminum and they bend easily??? Not sure.

There’s some clutch mechanism that’s seems to click on depressing pod holder and you can lift it to reset But still leaks!!!

I think the original line machines are the best these just make alot of foam

This is unlikely the cause as the grey cup is spring loaded, it's pushed all the way down & the whole capsule actually sits about 1 cm below the black plastic rim when the top is closed and the coffee is brewing. The spring-loaded knob around the center spike keep the capsule on the grey cup, hot water comes out of the center spike into the coffee grounds, the disc with the spikes spins the capsule around and the brewed coffee come out from the small spike holes, hit the spike disk and bounces down into the gap between the black plastic rim and the grey cup, then comes out from the spout. Somehow some coffee does not drain out of the spout fast enough and backs up past the black rim, then down from the back onto the countertop. Cleaning off any blockage to the spout may do the job. Dude, ditto. And I live in the middle of nowhere, I bought it for myself as a gift and had it delivered to my parents so I could bring it to my cabin. Their solution is to send it in to them to fix……but that doesn’t solve the fact I have 0 coffee and I work nightshift as a nurse an hour away. Ugh, I wanna just return the whole thing.
