I really like this machine but i wanna actually see the coffee coming out of the pod!

I bought one of these a few weeks ago. So far do good. The coffee is amazing.

@@Lucia-pt9cy yes. You cannot go wrong. But make sure you get the kit with the milk frother. We paid 120 at bed bath and beyond for ours.

Been using a press my entire life but my girl wanted this machine. The vertuo Next. She asked me to show her how to use it. So far, I had to download an app which demanded all my personal Information. There was no way to access the app without creating a detailed account. If it werent for my queen, id have returned this thing. Then there are the pods! One says for milk! I put milk in all my coffee/espresso! Do I empty the water from the tank to add milk there???!!!!

We're glad to help out you and your special one, Ryan. The Vertuo Next doesn't have to be connected to your bluetooth, but doing so allows special features. The Barista coffee selections are crafted to be enjoyed as milk recipes and the water tank is meant for water only. Please call 800.562.1465 for personal guidance.

I was excited to find out what this model does, but aside from the sexy pictures and water pouring, I know absolutely nothing about this new model. :( Like, why would I want wifi for my coffee maker?

Im guessing its for updating software for new coffee pods or changing the "stats" for existing pods. I think its brilliant. I have a Vertuoplus, and i cant use the new "pot size" since my machine cannot update...

@@Danjon1235 Fair enough. I wish they would be clear in the promo stuff. But I'm not in advertising and perhaps I'm not their focus audience. I'm sure this is compelling for some people. I would expect useful features to be explained if only a little bit.

@@nickhansbauer I think I'm also a bit jaded. I can never remember how to do a descaling routine, so when I go online, I get the 20 min video and scrub to the 15 seconds of programming instruction. I wish they had bullet points in the description.

When and where will this be available? It’s not on your website or Amazon or QVC or HSN as of today. I already have the Lattissima Pro and I love it. But I received a few Vertuo line pods and I’d like to try them. I just saw the video for the Vertuo Next, and was curious of the price or if you’re giving away any to test out the new product? Or run a promotion to buy 400 pods and get it for free.

Another over-dramatic video that has a lot of 'sizzle' but no substance. Those clever marketing men wearing grey suits and designer stubble have been at work again. What the video doesn't tell you is their expensive coffee pods are not easily recyclable - these single use plastic lined (ooh I just love plastic tasting coffee) pieces of garbage need to be sent to a special recycling centre that separates the plastic from the aluminium. And forget about using compatible and less expensive pods from other suppliers - there aren't any thanks to the Nespresso bar-code lock-out! Want to drink Organic coffee? Forget it, Nespresso don't sell clean Certified Organic coffee. Instead you will have to drink their mass-produced coffee full of pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertiliser. Move on everyone, absolutely nothing to see here.

@@patriciat8242 Only ignorant people use capital letters ("capsules" / "coffee") to make their point... go back to school. I assume you are American because you spell 'aluminum' incorrectly - the rest of the world spells this word 'aluminium'. I also know about coffee, and I have checked, the 'aluminium coffee containers' (are you happy with that description?) used by Nespresso are indeed lined with a thin plastic coating that needs to be resistant to very hot water, otherwise a vegetable based coating would quickly dissolve and the water would make direct contact with the aluminium. Interesting you forgot to mention that the vast majority of Nespresso machines in use around the world can accept third-party capsules including ones that are compostable that reduce recycling costs - do you have a problem with that?

Warning from ex-Nespresso Boss! Your coffee pods could be contributing to a global environmental disaster, with billions of the sleek aluminium and plastic capsules ending up in landfill in America, Europe and Australia each year. When George Clooney became the face of Nespresso's coffee pods in 2006, it spelt the beginning of a worldwide love affair with the product that allowed people to brew espresso at home with the touch of a button. Former Nespresso chief executive Jean-Paul Gaillard says it is time for consumers to think about the price of convenience. "It will be a disaster and it's time to move on that. People shouldn't sacrifice the environment for convenience," he said. Mr Gaillard says he has even written to Clooney informing him of the environmental impact of the pods. "Mr George Clooney didn't answer. I guess he didn't dare to answer. Or he just didn't care, I do not know," he said. "What is clear is that someone who is meant to be pro-environment and everything [is] promoting something which is polluting." Pods take up to 500 years to breakdown Made from a combination of plastics and aluminium with organic matter inside, the coffee pods are not biodegradable. It takes 150 to 500 years for aluminium and plastic capsules to breakdown in landfill. Coffee companies like Nespresso are now teaming up with recycling company TerraCycle to recycle their pods. "We're able to set up international platforms where you can send us the capsules, we pay you for shipping, we even give you a donation to your favourite school or charity for every capsule you send in and then we shred them," TerraCycle CEO Tom Szaky said. "We separate the organics and compost those and then we take the metals, melt those into new metal products and the plastics into new plastic products." Comment: TerraCycle are a third party waste-disposal organisation that is paid by Nespresso. That means the consumer ends up paying TerraCycle (indirectly) to deal with this garbage - nice one! Nespresso recently admitted that only around 20% of their pods/capsules are recycled by TerraCycle.
