Nespresso U - Step by step repair guide KRUPS XN250
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hello guys, welcome to a new video. Today we will fix a faulty Nespresso U machine which pours the coffee in the used capsule chamber. This is due to the broken clips that are attached to the nozzle and have the role of guiding the coffee stream.
You can either follow the tutorial in disassemble and buy a new nozzle and just replace it, or you can repair it as I did this being also extremely simple.
For any question please give me a thumbs up and if you want to see more videos like this please subscribe to my channel.

Four years later to your post and it was still very helpful. I didn’t find the part anywhere in Mexico but following your advice I glued with epoxic and … problem solved!!! Thanks
Not only the best video on this problem that I have found on the Internet, but Adrian also provides a DIY fix for those inclined. WELL DONE!
Thanks a million for this, saved me buying a new machine!
I got my machine off an auction site for $15 and I am determined to fix it. Matter of principle. Thank you for your excellent video. So far all going good !
Thank you, fixed it for next to nothing and saved hundreds buying a new one….i owe you a beer!
TYSM!!!! I used this video to diagnose and repair my Nespresso U (D50) made in Hungary. The biggest problem was figuring out what tool I needed to unscrew the 3 screws to open the housing. For those in the US I bought a Titan "tamper proof star key "set for $10 -a very worthwhile investment. The T-10 star shaped screwdriver with a central depression fit the tiny screws in my machine which may differ by manufacturer I did the same repair in the video using a thick piece of wire from jewelry making and gluing it as per the video. I later found the part on eBay for around 20 dollars but so far my repair has been working. I could not have done this without this video! Thank you again!
Thkx a lot Adrian, great repair café!! In my case the clips were not broken. Only the noozle was no more fixed. By the way, my model has a third screw located behind close to watertank which you need to unscrew to take over the cover. Torx are TORX BO TX 10 which a whole in the middle

Same as mine, the lower clip was broken. So I don't see what's wrong on the noozle from the tutorial, it looks like mine (without the metal pin) ?
I am quite sure that the small plastic piece is designed and expected to get broken by the makers on purpose. Luckily our friend Adrian suggested a clever solution. My respects!! 👏👏👏👏You have a beer on me in Barcelona, mate.
wow. Thank you for the video. I have a couple of broken nozzles. Can't find a good place to buy them again. Now that I found you video, I'm so happy I kept the old nozzles. I will fix and continue having great coffee again. Thanks Adrian!!!!
First class tutorial. I made my metal pin from a cut down sewing needle and my coffee machine is now working perfectly again. Thank you so much.
Exactly the same problem, thank you for the perfect how-to repair instruction! Good job!
Precisely the same problem on my 9 year old machine. Simple, cheap fix. Saves it from going to landfill 😄
Brilliant video. Easy to follow and now I have a working machine for the cost of a £4 nozzle. Many thanks!!!
Great guide! You just save my coffeemachine from dropping out! Thanks from Russia!
Hi. She had detached the mouthpiece. Your video helped me take it apart and lock the part in place. I save the cost of repair. Thank you very much
Hi Adrian, you saved my Nespresso machine with this tutorial. Thank you very much for the video!
Perfect tutorial and especialy the repair with the metal and glue will prevent the mashine from breaking again! Great guy :-)
Thank you, Adrian. You just help me fix our U Milk Nespresso and saved us a lot of money.
Thanks for the video. When I got to the steam spout, it had failed in a different way - bottom clip had broken. But the instruction was still valid, and our machine is now working again. Luckily I got a spare from EBay for £6.
Great video! An easier way to remove the nozzle is to run the machine and then pull the plug when the main part has moved to the back. Plug it back in when you have reinstalled the nozzle and it will move back into place.

This was the method I used. Didn’t need to take the case off, no Torx screwdriver required.

Super video that helped me to fix my nespresso UMilk. Instead of fixing it with a small metal rod like you I just bought a new nozzle for small money.

Great! This is what I also recommended. I only repaired with the rod since I could not find the spare part in my country.
Amazing video. Fixed it in 15min (waiting for epoxy to dry was the longest part...). Thanks Adrian!
Hello from Brazil! This is the best tutorial I have found! I faced same the same problem with my Nespresso machine. I glued the metal rod with super glue (CA glue) and sodium bicarbonate. It's working perfectly now. Thank you so much!

Hello, Adrian! Greetings from Buenos Aires! We found your video some months ago while we were looking for tutorials on how to solve the exact same problem. It was a bit hard for me to get the necessary screwdrivers but after some weeks, I could get them and yesterday I opened my machine and followed your steps. I have just assembled the machine again and it is working perfectly! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hello Leandro! I'm so glad it helped! 👍
Thank you very much! With your help I succeed to repair my nespresso c-50 machine which I was going to throw out into the trash bin!
Hi Adrian! It worked, thanks for the tip! Plus the fun to do something practical instead of buying a new one.
Helpful! Followed the instructions and actually found out that the machine had pieces of plastic falling off as looked like melted.. probably been drinking this stuff 😢 mine is going in the bin but the video was helpful. Thanks
amazing - fixed my machine (twice now, obviously weak design) - thank you so much
Thanks Adrian, you seem to be a very cool professional. Very nice video. I was worried that I'll have to spend huge amount on a new Nespresso and discard my existing beautiful Krups. You saved me man. Wish you well buddy, Manu
Thank you. I tried to pull the side and found your video. Very handy 😊
Thanks mate, your video helped me fix this problem in my machine. Keep up the great stuff!
Thank you so so much! That was really easy to follow. I managed to use a tiny flathead screwdriver (and pliers for leverage) as I didn’t have the right torx bit.
Thanks. That saved me buying a new Machine.
Awsome tutorial Keep helping people on stuff like that

Awesome! Great video. Thank you so much for your help. I have fixed my machine saving a lot of money and time
VERY nice tutorial, Adrian! I just had to do the same repair to my U. Though I generally followed your guide, a did a few things differently. Mainly, I used a stainless steel nail cut to size (20 mm). I opted to use a stainless steel rod so that I didn't need to bother with corrosion in the long run. Second, to glue the nail/rod in place, I first carved a shallow groove on the plastic of the nozzle so that the rod would be more firmly positioned for the glue job. And I used cyanoacrylate glue (superglue) to fix the rod in place. However, normally superglue would have a hard time adhering metal (specially ss) to that kind of plastic (ABS?). So, to overcome this, I first roughed up a bit the surface of the plastic and also filed the nail, leaving small notches all over it's length, to increase the surface where the glue would act. And most important of all, I sprinkled baking soda over the area after appling the superglue. The result was an acrylic-like surface over the nail and the the surface of the nozzle, keeping the nail firmly in place. The end result was prettyy strong, to the point that I think that if I tried to prye out the nail, it would rip chunks off the blak plastic with it. Moreover, not counting the very strong bond, it cures in seconds, so right after cleaning the baking soda and washing/brushing everything up I could assemble the machine back together. Cyanoacrylate glue can easily handle the temperature of a Nespresso machine, and with the baking soda mixed in it's safe to use there.

Perfect! Thanks!
A good how-to video. But I'd rather see how the cables are detached, because I did it only once and now have no idea of how to remove it again - these sit way to firmly in its nests. BTW, a Torx is not needed here - use a flat screwdriver and put it so it grabs any two notches in the screw's head. Works perfectly for me.
Thanks for the clear instructions on how to open it. Apparently it also works for magimix machines 😅 Got a different problem, but it's fixed now
Super useful, thanks
