When using the milk frother wand are you able to use flavoured creamers mixed in with regular milk to make frothed milk or can you only use regular milk in the frother?

Great review. Not sure whether this is the machine for us though. Just can’t decide! We have an old Nespresso machine now with a separate Aerocino. We only make one type of coffee. In a mug, two capsules (one after the other). Then milk in last. I’m wondering if that is even possible with this machine as it is all automated?? Also - the milk drinks you made seemed quite small? Particularly the flat white. We’d drink two of those in a mug at one time.

What number of pods do you recommend for optimum extraction for a recipe glass recipe? Also what do you recommend for 6oz cappuccino? People complain about coffee strength but they should be aware that you cannot in any machine make a large cup with one pod and have that cup be “intense “.

Well my cretista plus just broke… could have got it repaired but as old ,out of warranty etc decided to bite the bullet and buy this updated model…… loved my original machine but hoping this upgrade is worth it!!!!….. love nespresso

@@Melissa001 Hello Mel. I'm still very happy with my Coffee Machine. The wand has moments where it needs cleaning a lot then often it works for days. I guess its a case of how blocked the milk gets. The only problem i've had is the silver coating is coming off in place. I've only ever cleaned it will a damp cloth and anti bac solution. I do have a couple of lodgers who may have used a different sponge . Still going strong and I drink a lot of coffee.

Does it make a double espresso ? I just saw the option for single espresso only. I currently have the virtuo plus with the aerochino frother. I’m not sure if this is worth upgrading to because I mostly drink double espresso’s.

Failed on the flat white as the espresso is completely expired while the milk is still steaming and also not great on the cappuccino (can you manually use the steam wand? Just not enough foam for a cappuccino at all), but the macchiato latte is quite good (milk steaming first!)

Amazing and best review for that machine😍I think there will be a tips to get a much higher frother or foam from milk for example the type of milk we are using.. I hear from google the long life milk better than the fresh milk in order to get more foamy instead of silky. Also the way we are putting the wind of machine. I read from the manual best froth we shall get if we keep it on the center... So the conclusion of my talks are I really want you to make a quick review for how to get the most optimum froth by using this machine.. We will be very happy if you did this step😍thank you alot!

I’ve just ordered this machine for £1 on a monthly subscription. We have three vertuo plus machines and it’s good to know you’ve gone back to the original. This will be our 6th machine. I’ve always got a subscription on the go as we use a lot of coffee. I like that Starbucks do their own capsules for this machine

Hi Hussain, unfortunately this machine does not do cold froth. My Barista machine & Aeroccino 4 do the cold froth for me.

I think it's worth the upgrade for me, I really like it. More of a want than a need though, especially if you already have a milk frother.

Great review/overview of the pro version, it's the best i've seen, looks like a great upgrade, it's more like the barista/oracle touch series of Sage. I do think it's a little bit expensive, considering the plus model for a while now. Like u mentioned in the beginning of your video, a comparison between the 2 Creatista's u own would be great. So you mentioned you leave the milk level at it's minimum, does that mean the strongest version of the nespresso cups is still a little weak for your taste? Is the water hot enough for making a cup of tea? which would be funny and saves me a lot of time because of the 3 second heating system and exclude a device on my kitchen just for that purpose.

Thank you for your comments, I wouldn't use it for tea - I don't think its quite hot enough. I just feel I don't need that much milk for the size of drink I like to make with the capsules I use. I may try and use a stronger capsule to see if I prefer more milk with that. I like the option of heating more milk if I'm making a few drinks at a time. I'm hoping to get the comparison video up this weekend.

Nice video. The issue for me is that it appears the milk frother only has one type of setting. One could almost just nuke some milk or heat on the stove. I’m disappointed in Nespresso. Thanks for having such a clearly explained video. And what was the Long Black? Looks like Nespresso was making tea!

The plus can make an americano (by pressing for extra water), the pro has the 'long black' setting which will make it with the push of one button.

I love mine. The only option I wish it had was cold foam.

I haven’t seen a single review on this machine where the temperature of the coffee was taken straight out of the machine. I’ve heard it’s not very hot. Anyone know the actual temp of the coffee output?

I have one of these machines and cannot work out the difference in making a cappuccino and a latte it seems like I’m making the same drink as I fill the milk to minimum and use a espresso shot ?

just pour less milk into your cup and use a higher froth setting for cappuccino and pour al the milk you put in the jug to the minimum

how is the actual taste of the coffee pods compared to say a $100 machine? Is there no difference between and you're paying 10x more for other features?

MrrrrMime I suggest go to nespresso and get the subsciption plan. Get the creatista uno, it works the same just without the LED display.

just do 2 espresso’s and then go to the frothed milk and then set the desired froth and temperature setting

Hi. Lovely review by the way. I only have one concern about the milk. Are u using the wrong milk ? No mater what drink u was making the milk was flat , no foam at all , not even on the latte macchiato, is that the way it should be??? If that’s the right way then is like having hot milk on a pot and u have the same job done and u can go for a very lower price machine and having the same results. Thanks

Unfortunately, you can’t. However, there are plenty of settings for the milk to hopefully match your preference. Froth, heat, etc.

I wonder if you can just put something on the sensor to let the machine think the jug is on so you can manually jiggle the jug around to your liking while it auto frothes the milk. I doubt you'd be able to manually control the steam wand itself.

What was your main reason for getting the upgraded machine? I'm still using a MagiMix M200. Yep it's one of the original style, everything is manual...

Yes, there is. When it has dispensed the coffee it highlights another button that you can press for the second shot.

Hi Alexander, it's to collect the capsule you use (after you've used it). Otherwise it would fall out of the machine.

Is there a good option for refill capsules? the price compared to ground is somewhere between 0,25 and 0,50 US$ pr. cup if i buy new capsules all the time? Your flexoffers affiliate link is broken btw.

I find the result of Cappuccino and Latte Macchiato very disappointing. I prefer the nice creamy Cappuccino that my “Nespresso Lattissima Plus” makes me, with the milk container that is applied directly to the machine and by pressing a button, everything is complete .... frothed milk and coffee that enter in the cup one after the other. (and it also costs less).

This was a really thorough review and very nicely executed, except for the pronouncement of Inspirazione Venezia 😂😂 You gotta sing when speaking Italiano 🤌

I can’t find this pod on nespresso site, any idea where I can get it?

Nespresso is now doing a monthly subscription that includes a free creatista uno, and the deal is just too good, but I was a bit confused about what exactly this machine was because I’ve never actually purchased a coffee machine before! We currently just use a French press with our breville tea maker and it’s a lot of work and time in the morning so I’m looking forward to the fancy nespresso! This was the best review I found when trying to make my decision! Thanks for uploading :)

Yes, once you placed the wand in the original position, but make sure to wipe the wand as well after frothing.
