Flash freeze your chilies on a cookie sheet before you vacuum pack them. I do that with all fruit and soft veggies. Works great. You can also use a plastic container or zip lock bag to freeze soft liquidy stuff prior to vacuum packing.

Roll the top of bag back so it will help keep bag clean. Save a step fro wiping the top edge of bag.

Why not seal or reseal the area above the original seal, I do that for many items.

I'm with you. I am assuming he says the moisture makes the seal possibly fail, but I bet process keeps too much moisture going past sealed edge. "Maybe", it has a leak. So, use far less bag, but leave another couple inches and manually do another double seal just past first seal. See no reason for inserting in another bag.

@@trevorwesterdahl6245 I usually put most very wet items in the freezer for a bit sometimes in a different container before transferring them to the freeze bag.

How would it be to put a pad of paper towels across the top near where the bag is to seal to intercept most of that juice? Might not need to double bag that way. Good thing the bags are reusable, having to double bag like this.

Please warn people that the canister vacuum accessories for the VS-12 are no longer sold and no one has one. SO that function is useless. I wish someone had pointed this out a week ago.

This video does not require the canister vacuum accessories to vacuum seal the chilies. People should take responsibility for themselves when it comes to buying recommended products. I don’t work for the company and I have no way of knowing what changes have taken place over the last year. Thank you your suggestion but I will leave up to the consumer to be responsible for themselves. Thank you

You can use canister vacuum accessories made by other companies. I have accessories made for foodsaver and they work great.

Absolutely no reason to put those in two bags. Cut down on the length of bag in the first place.

Please do a video with the EXACT SAME chilies so everyone can see what you’re talking about. The shorter the bag the faster the liquid reaches the seal. Please make and post a video. If you really want to help others don’t just make unconfirmed comments. Make a video showing proof of your recommendation.

Yes I read that in the manual. I just haven’t tried it yet because it a step that sets me back more time and this is already an extremely time consuming process as you already I’m sure. Thank you for being more specific. I really appreciate it.
